What are they? Where can I learn more?
Sorry if this is a silly question or if I am late to the game.

Youtube is your friend for all things Travelers Notebook. I can get lost on there for hours.
I only have one standard size notebook with 4 inserts - one is a monthly calendar (2 pages per month), a Cocoa Daisy insert for monthly memory keeping, a gardening journal and an insert where I keep track of the cards I make for my various charity causes. I'm thinking about adding a new insert to track the books I've read.
TNs are available in various materials like cloth and leather. You can find many insert sellers on Etsy. I get most of mine from Yellow Paper House.

Definitely check out YouTube. A TN can be everything you want it to be; a planner, a journal, a creative outlet, notes.......

I just bought my first two travelers notebooks. I want to use one as a travel scrapbook during my vacation in September and the second one is just to play with. I bought these from Michaels with coupons but there are lots and lots of choices online. I second the recommendation for YouTube videos. I started watching videos by Essie Ruth Makes, Dearly Dee and My Little Journal after seeing them mentioned here.

There are tons of Instagrammers using traveler's notebooks too. Some are scrapbooky, some are artsy, some are diaryish, some are something else - lots of different styles and ideas. You can also make your own inserts. They're really just a sheaf of papers folded and stapled, so you can make your own custom versions with black paper or kraft or a mixture of different weights and colors of paper. Anything you want. Lots of ideas (and things to buy) on Etsy, both in terms of covers and inserts. I'm sure there are also a million TNs on Pinterest... Have fun

I was at Costco yesterday and they had a pack of six moleskin Cahier notebooks for $19.99. The package included alphabet letters for the covers. Seemed like a good price.

Oh, and there are probably hundreds of FB groups out there. Just search Travelers notebook, Midori or planner, and you'll find lots.
