Hard to say no to $29 minc machine at Tuesday morning. I bought a bunch of foil and things to king all told I spent about $44. I also Bought some toner paper on amazon to due cut. I'm psyched to try it

I was just at TM, too. I already have a Minc and I wanted a few things that you can no longer get at the big box stores like the holographic foil. I used my Minc quite a bit for Christmas layouts. I want to try the reactive products I purchased at J's. My only suggestion is to make stuff as you go. I made a pile of embellishments and they scratched a bit. Check out Heidi's You Tube videos for ideas.
Thats a great price for the mini!

Grats! How much was the foil and did they have a lot of colors? The 6" was 2.99, the 12" was 3.99. They are on an end cap but there is a small display on one side. There were tons of colors.

I absolutely love my minc and have never regretted buying it for a lot more than you paid! I use it all the time and bought a laser printer shortly after buying the minc so I could foil even more. I am currently working on Christmas cards and used it for the inside greeting! It really is one of my most used tools, but since Michael's stopped carrying the foil I'm a little nervous about where I will be able to purchase it. In Canada we don't have Joann's or Tuesday Morning so I have to buy it online! Let's just hope it's not one of those items that disappears completely!

I agree I hope it does not disappear but all the videos I watched said the thermoweb foils work in it and I bought about 15 tubes of those previously so hopefully there will always be a brand that works

If you have a Hobby Lobby nearby, they had several of the foil rolls on clearance for $5.99. I got the gold roll that my TM didn't have.

I was just in TM. They had the foil but were sold out of the machines. I bought one thing of foil, because I want to experiment with my laminator and heat tool. 😄

Thanks for the heads up about TM.
Mine had 4 or 5 of the mini-machines ( I didn't even know that existed), but I already have the Anna Griffin one that is a little bit bulkier.
They had several colors of foil, so I picked up red, blue, silver and a pale green. I wish they had gold and dark green, but I'm happy with what I found. I hope to use it to make Christmas cards.
My stores craft section was in shockingly good order. It was so much easier to shop. In the past it was is a big jumbled up mess. I hope they keep it up.

That's a great find. My Tuesday Morning never has much in the way of scrappy items. Usually it's old EK stickers and really old paper pads. So jealous.

I caressed the Minc longingly when I saw it at TM, but ultimately decided I didn't need it since I have a laminator. Still, it looks fun. I may pick up some foil to play with. Heidi's foil projects are really cute.

And this is why I'm glad we don't have TM here because I have no doubt I would have bought one and then significantly underused it.

I have foils and a laminator. Didn't need the Minc. Snickered at the folks paying those prices for the Minc. "Why?! That little Scotch laminator will do all that." Except it will not transfer the foil to the exact same glossy vinyl that that girl used to make the cutest foiled saying for a coffee cup. I know. I tried. Several times. So yesterday I called the product locator number and my store still had 2. As of lunch today, they only have 1 in stock.

Saw them at my TM, but I just got back from Stamp & Scrapbook Expo where I went to a foil class. We used a laminator with the Gina K cards and foil. I loved the way the cards came out so I bought some supplies and will try it with my Purple Cow laminator. I'll have to go youtube the minc to see what I would be missing out!

I don't know if I should be happy or sad that my TM didn't have any Mincs. There was lots of foil and embellishments though. Oh well, I didn't know I needed a Minc until this thread, lol.

I resisted! I saw them the other day at TM. Wasn't looking for one and didn't really care about them until I saw it for $29.99. Came home, started reading about them here on the board, watched a few YouTube videos, decided that for $29.99 maybe I did *need* one. Today, on my way home, I drove by TM with the intent to pick one up, and I just kept on driving. I managed to talk myself out of it and not make that turn into the driveway. But, you guys are such good enablers! Almost had me!

There was one Minc left on the shelf...and it didn't jump into my cart. I did buy a cute paper pack, some stencils and a pair of those non-stick scissors.
