Is anyone taking her Magical class that is starting today? I'm interested on first thoughts and whether to sign up.

I am taking it and the first email came about 5 hours ago. It is very hard to judge a class on one lesson, but I enjoyed the video and the layout, even if it is WAY outside my comfort zone (I will admit that Shimelle's layouts are generally a bit OTT for me anyway!). I haven't made a LO yet, but will once I decide on the photo I want to use and print it the right size.

I signed up. I have taken numerous classes offered by Shimelle, and I have never been disappointed. She offers so much content in her classes, and because they are archived, you can work at your own pace at any time in the future.

I signed up! I watched the first video at school this morning while I did my nails. It's our first day back as teachers...I think I'm in denial. Lol. I've taken a few of Shimelle's classes and have loved them all. I always get a ton of pages done and feel like what I learn applies to outside of the class too.

cropelf you can find the sign up towards the bottom of the blog post here: linkLook for the last layout image - it's split in two parts for pricing in GBP or USD.

I really want to take it. I will have to wait. I have a Disney Album started that I want to finish and I have loved all the Shimelle classes I have taken.

I'm curious how the class is going. I didn't sign up, but am still thinking about it a bit. It is mostly a "follow along as I put together this album, with thoughts and ideas"? Is there any particular new trends or techniques?

I had been debating signing up ever since it was announced but wasn't sure, as I'd never taken a Shimelle class before, and my scrap style is a little more minimal than hers. But after seeing a scrappy friend on Instagram go on about how much fun she was having fun in the class, I signed up last night. I watched some of the videos and quickly skimmed a few of the handouts today, and so far I'm so happy I decided to bite the bullet! It helps that I am also wanting to get Disney albums done - I have about 5 previous visits I want to scrap, and another one coming up in November. I've been wanting to get working on a Disney album (as I have nothing done yet!), but have felt totally overwhelmed. Even after watching just a few videos, I'm already feeling excited to start going through my pictures and to get started.
That being said, even if you aren't doing a Disney album, the lessons so far are easily transferable to any kind of 'themed' album (vacation, etc.) It's only 4 classes in, and I don't think there are necessarily any new trends or techniques, but I do feel as if I'm getting more than JUST watching her put a page together. I like the way she describes the why and how she chooses things and puts everything together. And she covered her photo organization/picking photos process which I found really useful. I'm happy I signed up, and am looking forward to the rest of the class, and to making some pages!

There was one day that the video was all about how about she handles having large amounts of photos from one trip. I'm enjoying it and plan on printing out all of the accompanying sketches so that after my trip next month, I can work off of those and hopefully I can get a bunch of my trip scrapped while the trip is still fresh in my mind.

Thank you for these specifics, that was the kind of thing I was hoping to hear about in trying to decide. If only it wasn't such a busy time of year, at least for another week or two.

Thank you so much! I really have to give this some more thought. It sounds like if I can commit some time to the class it will be worth it for me to accomplish some of this album stuff (esp. when there are a million photos from trips.)

How long from signing up ,does it take to receive the class. I signed up this morning and as of late this afternoon I have not even received a confirmation email. Is this normal.

It can take 24 hours, as Shimelle does them all herself. Remember to take into account time differences, as she is based in London.
