Love the views, but this is nothing close to my dream home. I'll pass.

Love the views, but this is nothing close to my dream home. I'll pass. My first thought when seeing her home was it would be one of the first homes to go if there was a wild fire being so close to a mountain. If you throw a cigarette on the ground, do target shooting in the mountains, or play with fireworks up there, it will spread quickly.

Both of my brothers have lived close to where that house is located, and they've also both had problems with the mountain wanting to slide into their respective backyards. They've had to spend a small fortune in retaining walls. It looks like that home has pretty good ones, but that would make me nervous as well.

A friend is going to NM for Thanksgiving and it reminded me of this post and move of the Nielsons. So I followed the link in the OP to see what had happened w/the house.
It looks like it didn't sell? The realtor listing shows "Off market" and w/an estimate of $899K, even though it was listed at $1.6Million. Weird. Wonder if they decided not to sell after all?

I looked on her blog and on October 25 she wrote that they sold it and signed the paperwork.

I've noticed in our area that certain agents will remove a listing from realtor when an offer has been accepted and it is pending. I'm not sure what the advantage of doing it is but I'm seeing it more and more.

It’s lovely. I live in NYC so it’s actually seems very cheap to me. But I don’t think I could adjust to living in Utah.
