I don't know about you guys, but I love it when a good organization solution works out. I spent hours and hours searching for something I could use for smaller stamps and anxiously waited for them to be delivered. They arrived in the mail today and they are everything I'd hoped for (except that they aren't packaged the best...too snug...and some are creased and not pretty enough to be used, but I bought extra for growth so hopefully it doesn't end up leaving me short any time soon). Say hello to Postcard Sleeves. They are acid free, the same thickness as the ones from checkoutstore (I couldn't find the thickness of the Avery Elle ones, but it's probably the same), the same type of material. I cut a strip off the top to make it a bit smaller, but I'm so thrilled. I spent a bit more on them because I wanted the thickness and thanks to a youtube video from the company, I was able to see close up what they looked like to gauge their similarity to the marketed stamp pockets and it was so worth it. They ended up something like 8 cents a pocket (more when I remove the defective ones from the batch) but you can find other kinds (maybe in a different material) on eBay in groups of 100 for under $3.00. http://instagram.com/p/BX6oY1sl7Pv

Thanks for sharing. I've been looking at stamp storage ideas. I've never heard of postcard sleeves. Where did you find them?

Thanks for sharing. I've been looking at stamp storage ideas. I've never heard of postcard sleeves. Where did you find them? eBay, but that was after finding them on the manufacturers website and searching around for better prices. The ones I got on eBay seem to be old stock, hence the handful of creased sleeves that I won't be using, but they were far less expensive than direct from the company's website. The ones direct from the company might be in better condition. www.bagsunlimited.com/category/96/sleeves I got the 4mil Large sized sleeves, but the smaller ones might work well, too. I just happened to like the wiggle room (just pop it open and drop it in...easier to be lazy) of these ones more. Postcard sleeves come in 3 plastics. Polyethylene, Polypropylene, and Polyester. The Polyethylene is the way to go if you want it more like the vinyl texture of the Avery Elle pockets. Baseball and other collector card companies also make postcard sleeves, but because Bags Unlimited had a video with close up comparisons, I had a strong feeling that these would work without any trial and error. But if size is more important than uniformity across different sized stamps, there are many other suppliers on eBay that you can get for a lot less money. For all I know, they are just as comparable...but I couldn't tell because I couldn't find the detailed comparisons that I could from this manufacturer. I spent a really long time searching, lol.

Those look great. I use the Avery Elle pockets for both my clear stamps, unmounted wooden stamps, and my smaller metal dies. Love that nothing falls out.
Now I am on a quest to find the 12 x 6 clear pockets that do not have any adhesive or ziplock on the top. I have not found them yet. I want to store my Thickers in them. I know they make Thickers sleeves, but I have over 200 of them and the sleeves just aren't cost efficient. I saw the storage tip on one of MercyTiara's YouTube videos.

TFS! At the moment I'm just keeping a lot of my small stamps in the packaging they came in clipped up on my Clip it Up.

Try looking at some variations on comic sleeves.

This is brilliant! I am going through my stamps and this may work for me. I'll have to remember this. Thanks for sharing. Oh yay! I'm glad you like it. I've barely gone through my 3x4's that were still in retail plastic and I've made a good dent in the pockets already. I'm definitely thinking about moving the doubled up ones over, but I might have to buy more pockets to get it done. I'm also definitely going to some more duralar (since I can't find mine) to use as a backer for my 2x3 and smaller sets to share one of these pockets. They aren't as loose as the 4x6 pockets but I'd still like them to be on a single backer so I can treat them more like a single set (easier in and out). I also discovered that if you don't like the extra room in the Avery Elle and CheckOutStore pockets or just want something more compact, these (not cut down like I did) hold a 4x6 stamp set really well, too.

I need to organize my stamps too. I bought some of the large Avery Elle pockets but didn't realize there would be so much extra space around the 4x6 stamps. Not sure if that's going to bug me or not. scrapaddict702, thanks for sharing, I am intrigued! Are you using the same size sleeves for both 4x6 and 3x4 stamps in your photo above? Can you provide a link to the sleeves you're using? The one in the thread to bagsunlimited doesn't work. You said you found the same sleeves on ebay - what did you search for?

Can you provide a link to the sleeves you're using? The one in the thread to bagsunlimited doesn't work. You said you found the same sleeves on ebay - what did you search for? The sleeve on the left is the one I found for my 3x4 stamps. I cut half an inch off of the top, but if you kept it on, you could use it for 4x6 stamps no problem...but I like the wiggle room, so I prefer the original Avery Elle sized pockets...on the right...for my 4x6 stamps. If you have limited space or feel like the wiggle room is just wasted space, it would be a good option. This is where I bought them from. I found that a few arrived bent and were not usable because of the crease (it bothered me, lol) but I think it is because they are older stock and/or the packaging they are in is a bit snug which causes some of the pockets to bend on themselves. It wasn't a huge deal, though. I lost less than 10 of the 200 I bought and was able to use some of them to decide on how much to trim down off of the top. They aren't 100% the same as the Avery Elle pockets...they aren't quite as clear, but the clarity difference is minute and doesn't bother me and they don't have the flap, but they are the same thickness and are acid free (I called the company to confirm before purchasing). Keep in mind, there are other postcard sleeve options out there from trading card companies, but I was able to see a youtube video that demonstrated the texture of these. My concern was receiving something that was comparable to the cellophane sleeves the stamps came in which was NOT what I wanted. The sleeves from trading card companies are significantly cheaper, too. You can find some for as little was $3 for 100, so if you want to try out a less expensive option before buying these (the best option for this link is to buy at least 2 sets at a time in order to combine shipping and make them more affordable), you can do some looking around. I just couldn't find anything else that had any videos able to demonstrate their texture and thickness and I wanted something comparable to what I was already sure would work. So I paid for the convenience of knowing for sure that what I was buying was what I was looking for.

I wouldn't want to end up with cellophane sleeves either so I totally get that you stuck with ones you could confirm the thickness/texture. I'll check these out.
