Didn't see a thread for this week. Wow! What an episode. Not even sure where to begin.

I'm curious to see what the dragon can do? does it breathe fire? ice? does the king ride it? It's not good.

I was sad that the dragon died, and then really bummed they turned him into a white walker. Sansa is definitely afraid of Arya. I would be too, she's turned into a bad ass. If anything happens to Brienne I'm going to be pissed. Can Littlefinger just die already?!??

The thing is, they are all headed to westero's though. Brienne, the others with the white walker. Hopefully they will all meet up.

Why didn't the group wait for the guy who got bitten by the bear and die to turn instead of continuing on?
Damn felt bad for the dragon, but the night king was prepared for him.

Arya needs to add little finger to her list.
So the red priest was the only one lost? And they burned him so he wouldn't become a white walker. Did Davis go beyond the wall? Or was he waiting with the ship?
You need a full movie screen to keep track of everything going on in a fight scene like that
One more question: what did Dani say to Jon after he called her his queen?

I waited so long to see Benjen again, then he dies (or something, being already half dead)! Ugh!!
The bear, the wights, Viserion...so much happened. And my favorite, Arya, continues to kick ass.
Some questions that I didn't get: if the BWB have flaming swords, why didn't they use that to keep themselves warm on their tiny island that night? Do the wights that fall in the water drown, or since they are technically already dead, can they just pull themselves out?
RIP Thoros.

Does white walker = wight? How do you know Viserion is the dragon who died? I never understood how Uncle Benjen was kind of half dead. Anybody?
Also anyone have any ideas about why Tyrion would bring up the idea of Daenerys' successor at this point?

It was sad about the dragon, but even though it got touched by the Night King, it felt like dragon won't betray its' Mama. But what Free Charlie says above seems likely to be what comes about.
Maybe Jon is destined to ride alongside Danyeris and maybe Tyrion too. It'll be so interesting to see when Brandon explains the histories of Jon and Tyrion .

Benjen was stabbed by a white walker but saved by the Children of the Forest, so he's sort of partially dead (well, fully dead now LOL) which is why he had to leave Bran and Meera north of the wall. I had already heard about Viserion, but I wasn't surprised they chose that one given that he was named after Dany's evil brother (still wonder why she named her dragon after him...).

Well I kinda had an idea what was going to happen this episode once I knew Dany was coming to help because someone on this board spoiled everyone accidentally with the information a few weeks ago! I know the death of the dragon was a major spoiler that got leaked, but it sucks that someone said it on here without a big spoiler alert.
For future reference, the spoilers on here refers to tonights episode ONLY. If you have heard about any spoilers that haven't happened yet, please only use the spoiler insert here or just keep quiet. I'm hoping that was the last major spoiler that was leaked so next week I can watch it without knowing something.
DH and I were literally on the edge of the couch the whole last 20 minutes or so. Loved the episode but sad also.

Great episode! Unfortunately it was completely spoiled for me because someone tagged me in the leaked video on Facebook earlier in the week. I was confused and clicked around a couple times trying to figure out what I was watching. Of course, I happened to see 15 seconds of Viserion dying (side note, how can anyone tell it's him and not Rheagal?). Then I figured out what was going on and I was so bummed.
I was pissed at the Hound for throwing those rocks and kicking off the battle. They could have waited a little longer and maybe Thoros wouldn't have died. Also, why didn't Dany circle back around and do some more fire breathing at the White Walkers after they killed Viserion?

Just my theory, but maybe he was asking who would succeed bc they don't know Jon is Targarion yet? and now that he's bent the knee, even if they find out he's the rightful ruler of the Iron Throne, maybe he will allow Dany to rule, until she does? Maybe they are setting up foreshadowing of her death?

Loved the episode but sad also. Not sure if you are talking about me or not, but just wanted to clarify that I don't follow anything online and I refuse to read any spoilers. I guessed a dragon would die on here last week maybe? It was just a theory because Tyrion as a rider makes no sense in a GRRM world. I apologize if it was me and won't post any more theories I have As for tonight's episode, the Arya/Sansa stuff bothered me. The whole role of the dagger is dragging out. Does she kill Littlefinger with it? Does Arya still kill him? I'm really hoping he goes next week. I loved Tormund/Hound talking about making babies with Brienne. I was glad for Jon/Ben Jen being reunited. I was hoping for him to say "go talk to Bran". I really hope they all come together again soon. Was Sansa in king's Landing in the preview for next week? Do we finally get a Hound/Mountain fight?

I'm really hoping he goes next week. I totally missed that this was "the" dagger. Now I feel better about that whole sister scene. It now seems Arya was pushing Sansa to stop expecting others to rescue her and to do what needs to be done herself. And maybe that is why she (S) sent Brienne away, so she (B) won't get injured or killed protecting Sansa (or Arya) from little finger.

Building on that, I wonder if she worried that when littlefinger mentioned Brienne that sansa thought he might hurt her or try to take her out of the picture so Sansa sending her away also protects Brienne.

Turn on your CC!! in it you can see, Viserion cries out, etc. Benjen was half because the children of the forest, or whatever they are called. stopped it. Where the heck ARE the children of the forest right now, BTW??? They have brought it up numerous times now about Dany not being able to have kids. And now tonight they mentioned to Jon, give the sword to your kids. Hmmmmm...if he goes with Dany, he won't have any kids? hmmm....sacrifice?

I'm hoping that was the last major spoiler that was leaked so next week I can watch it without knowing something. I don't remember any spoilers given here. And if they were, I think it was just speculation. There has been so many leaks lately with HBO, who knows. I like to speculate. There are lots of theories> so we aren't allowed to talk about them on this thread?

No need for slaps on spoiler threads. If you get upset then maybe dont come on threads. This entire series comes from books. Speculation is rampant about this series anyway. Im a person who doesnt mind spoilers. And I can watch a show and totally enjoy it knowing everything. If it was a true story the end would be known.

There is a difference between speculation and posting a known spoiler AS a spoiler. The person who did that a few weeks ago apologized (I believe she thought spoilers were allowed due to the heading of the post). However, I don't see the harm in asking for spoilers for future episodes to remain off-thread.
I honestly prefer this thread to remain a discussion about the episode and discussion about what MIGHT happen. If HBO continues to leak their shit, spoilers can't be avoided, but it would be a kind gesture to use the spoiler markup to hide it from people who don't want to be spoiled.

I think Tyrion is afraid that if Daenerys dies without a successor the whole war will stop and Cersei will remain on the throne. We know he doesn't want that to happen.
