In the grand scheme of things, this is among the least of my worries Trump-wise. He probably did it in defiance because he was told not to. He really showed them I guess.

No one hates Trump more than I, but I do feel like we're swatting at an empty pinata here. Let's save our outrage for when it really counts. I'm not outraged, but I am definitely amused. I see zero outrage here. What I see is people again shocked at what an effing idiot we have for our leader.

I wondered how many people were going to believe this nonsense. Between here and Facebook, far more than I would have hoped. What do you mean, people "believe this nonsense"? It's on tape--he looked up a couple of times without glasses. It's all *fake news*, rofl. Anything that shows him for the idiot he is is "fake news". It's almost bizarre how many people believe the fake news nonsense.

Maybe he thought it was Fake News about not looking at the sun Fake Science. He doesn't believe in climate change, why would he believe an eclipse was coming when scientist said it was?

He's kind of the gift that keeps on giving. I just take these innocuous threads as "for humor." He's kind of like the drunk uncle at Thanksgiving. I hear you, but when we continually harp on every little thing he does, it give us less credibility about the things that are more serious. When he stops doing such ridiculous things (that are seen and heard-not just anonymous source says things) people will stop talking. A majority of US citizens view him as doing an inadequate job, so they bring up the things he does. He absolutely needs to stop tweeting and giving non scripted speeches. I think most people are very clear on what is ridiculous and what is dangerous. He is the hot topic for now. I do not see things dying down for a long time.

Do you know anyone like this? I certainly don't. OH puleaze, there is a whole butt load of people that think he can do no wrong. I asked one supporter the other day, after his ridiculous "I take back everything I said yesterday" speech if there was *anything* the man could do that would be wrong and her answer was "absolutely nothing" followed by cheers from other supporters she was with.

Well, he certainly had company in that choice, I saw everyone from people I know on FB to reporters on TV looking at the sun during the eclipse, but not during totality, with no glasses.

Or in my case just making fun of the fool and getting a good laugh out of it. to me it just shows he is stupid on so many different levels. Unlike some that can truly affect us all, this is just stupid that humor can be found in - as opposed to killing us all. Not outraged at this. His Nazi-stupid/not funny. His eclipse-stupid/funny. I'll take the funny when I can. God knows we need it.

There are also a butt load of people who will only focus on the wrong and ignore anything positive about him; such as the fact that he has lowered our national debt by more and for longer than any other previous president. Like him or hate him, that's a great thing for this country. Yet, I haven't seen anyone post about this. Close-mindedness is a national flaw; regardless of party.

May I suggest you do a quick google search. I've lurked here a long time and know that any link I provide will be shot down as not "reliable" enough.

No where else says he actually lowered debt. that's why I asked. Because he hasn't - except in his own mind

Some people think it makes them look smart to be anti something, especially a somewhat popular thing. I find the Trump supporters I know to be squarely in this category. They belong to a group, finally. Rah.

I rest my case. Have a good evening. There's really nothing more to say on this thread. What are you resting your case on? You refuse to post a link that shows the debt is lower. I asked. You told me to google. I did. I can't find anything other than his tweet and a few news articles that explain why his tweet is wrong and the article I posted. I'm not being rude. I'm asking, because you said it like it was a fact.

May I suggest you do a quick google search. I've lurked here a long time and know that any link I provide will be shot down as not "reliable" enough. I have googled but every article I have read has said that while the numbers may be accurate it does not truly reflect what has happened (and all have explained why). I try to make a point of reading both sides to an argument so that I can decide for myself. I would appreciate any link to where they analyze that information and are able to attribute it directly to Trump's presidency. Thanks.

I rest my case. Have a good evening. There's really nothing more to say on this thread. Well, you asked if anyone actually knew anyone who will follow Trump's lead on just about anything and about 5 posters said they did, so unfortunately, you probably haven't got much to rest your case on.
