They are called silicone but I didn't know what that means. Plus I have seen a few sets now that look exactly like My Favorite Things stamp sets. Seems strange.
Thoughts anyone?
thx

I've seen mixed reviews. It's my understanding they're usually not photopolymer. I ordered a set of Lawn Fawn stamps on AliExpress but it hasn't arrived yet. Will let you know when it does. I do think a separate thread dedicated solely to posting dupes of scrapbook supplies found on AliExpress would be a great thing to start. Hint, hint to all you AliExpress specialists out there.

I saw a set that looks exactly like the Hero Arts Flamingo laying set. I saw it about 37 times.

I have a couple of sets. They're definitely not as nice as photopolymer, so I assume they are acrylic, which isn't that big a deal since quite a lot of American companies still use soft acrylic anyway. I mean, maybe if you needed something absolutely perfect and crisp and professional like high-end rubber, skip 'em, but I'm just slapping them down on journals and cards, so they're good enough for that purpose. I doubt they'll still be super nice in 10 years, but for a buck or two, no big deal.

I've steered clear of them so far because of doubts about the quality, but am interested to hear some reviews. I guess for a few dollars it might be worth trying something out.

I've gotten dies from them. They cut just as well as the ones I paid $15 for and they were only $3 - $4 including shipping.

I second this idea. I never see all the good dupes.

I've stayed away from the clear stamps because I'm not sure of the quality... but I bought my first one the other day which is identical to a MFT stamp that has been on my wishlist. I paid $3.50 (CDN) for it on Ali. It sells for $17.99 US at most US online stores. For that difference in price, I'll give it a try! I have purchased a ton of dies from Ali and I am 100% satisfied with every one of them. They cut as well as any other higher price die I have purchased. I'm waiting for 16 more to arrive... I paid less for 16 dies on Ali than I would have paid for 1 set at one of the many online stores. I know some people are having trouble with the ethics of buying knock offs on Ali, but seriously how can you not buy from them? I'm hooked.

I have several, all are silicone. Most stamp just fine. Two have a section that is thinner and wont stamp. Unfortunately the last stamp ( the Fiskars one) the giraffee won't stamp in two large sections. For the price I'm ok with one stamp every now and then that is wonky.

I bought a 4x6 set for $1.39 from Aliexpress last month purely because I was curious. They work every bit as good as sets I've paid $15 for from name brand companies.
