I have a few shirts with lace shoulders. The only way I know how to wear them (Big boobs, here) is with a strapless bra, which isn't always the most comfortable thing to wear. I also have a couple of bralettes. One is black, and has small string-like straps, but has a large piece of lace that goes all the way up to the neck in the back. The other has wide, lace straps. The issue I have with those is, the black is a little too harsh a color for some of the lighter shirts I have, and the lace one is so wide, that the patterns of the laces of shirt and bralette clash when layered (Does that make sense?). The only other option I see is to wear a tank under it, the same/similar color as the shirt, that has wide enough straps to cover a real bra strap, which can be hard to find. Most tanks with wide straps are the more sporty, boxy, thicker fabric kind. This is a shirt I would love to wear for anniversary pics we have coming up, but I'm not sure what the best way is to wear it, other than covering it with a jacket, which defeats the purpose of the pretty sleeves, and lace. So, how would YOU wear this???

If it is just for pictures where you are only wearing it a limited amount of time I would go with the strapless bra. Otherwise I would look for a bra the same color as the shirt and hope the detail of the lace hid the straps somewhat.
ETA: I forgot to mention-it's a very pretty blouse!

I'd probably look for a strapless bra (if I could find a comfortable one, LOL) that was convertible with see-through straps you could attach. KWIM? I know I've seen them in stores...

See, now I've been told by my dd's, that's it not a big deal if your bra straps show anymore. They would wear just a colored bra underneath, and wouldn't care less. I would go with a same color bra strap, or cami

That top is really cute. I have the same problem you do, big boobs can't go without a bra. For the pictures you can do the strapless bra. For every day life if would look high and low for the perfect tank or a bra the the same color as the shirt.

I have a hard time knowing how what to wear under those types of shirts as well. I would probably opt for a tank that would cover a regular bra strap since that is what I have. I wear NikiBiki tanks and they have strappy styles as well as thicker strap styles. They are comfy and fit well (they are a soft fabric, maybe microfiber of some kind?) so they are smooth under clothes.
Is the shirt in the pic the exact one you want to wear? The bigger problem I see with it is that the lacy part is so low. It looks like you would need to wear a tank so that you don't see all the way down the shirt. And then the top of the tank may look weird under the shirt.

I think a colored bra is just fine under that gorgeous top.

I'd wear a nude bra or a colored bra that matched or contrasted with the color of the shirt.

I'd wear a nude bra with that shirt. I have tops that are like that and I either have a tank to wear underneath, wear a bra in a matching color, or wear a nude bra. I don't own a strapless bra since I have a large chest.

What about clear straps if you have a bra where you can switch the straps out?

the old me would say strapless or nude bra. After seeing how DD and 'the younger crowd' wears it I am not longer opposed to bra/cami/tank straps showing with a complimentary color. I've become accustomed to it and it's actually grown on me. You can teach an old dog new tricks!

I'd wear a black bra under that. Nude looks like I'm trying to hide it and it hasn't quite worked, in my mind.

I'd either do a bra the same color or black. I don't think there is a need to hide the straps.

Either a bra with clear straps or a bra the same color as the shirt. The only lace-top shirt I have is black, so I just wear a black bra with it. Preferably one without super-wide granny straps (as most of my bras have, because I'm well-endowed).
If your strapless bra is a convertible that has a place for straps to hook on, you can just buy a set of clear straps on Amazon or probably in a lingerie store.

I'm larger chested and have a similar shirt in navy. I wear my strapless bra. It's a Lane Bryant strapless bra and my bra gives support so I'm all good.
I agree that the new thought is let the straps show.....I'm just so old school( geesh....that makes me sound old and set in my ways) and struggle with that. I also find when you see the straps that "look" of the lace is changed.
Liked the idea about looking for a bra or strapless that had clear plastic straps to put with it. That would work with lots of shirts. Great idea there!

My boobs are too big for strapless bras. I'd go for a bra with see through straps, or one with straps in skin color.

I'd wear a nude bra or a colored bra that matched or contrasted with the color of the shirt. Same here. Sometimes the same colored bra works, sometimes the nude, but I always find that one or the other option works just fine without the bra being noticeable.

nude colored bra or a nude wide strapped camisole (they have some on Amazon that are very reasonable - like around $10)

I'd just wear a bra. Bonus points if it's a cute, contrasting color or pattern.
(I have no issues with bra straps being visible.)

I have a large chest and I almost always wear a nude bra. Even looking in the mirror, the bra isn't really noticeable.

I can't do a strapless, so for something like that I would go with a skin colored strap.

I had a sales clerk recently tell me she wears her bralettes over her regular bra. So she gets the look of the bralette, but the support from her bra. Kinda a lightbulb moment for my larger chested self.

I purchased a bra the same color to wear with mine. I tried a regular bra and was just feeling too "not right" so found a blue bra to wear with it.
I didn't think of a nude bra, so perhaps I'd have liked that also.

I say go with what you are most comfy with! I usually go with black, unless my top is super light. This is from a couple weeks ago, my 57th bday. I don't appear too troubled by my straps......of course that could be because of Margaritas!

I'd wear a nude bra. I don't think the cut of this top is one where intentionally showing your bra underneath would look right. I'm not at all opposed to having your bra show, I think it's a fun look, just not with this shirt. Just my opinion!
