I get a new IPhone and am a teacher about to start a new year. I have tried going all electronic and then gone back to all paper (it is just so much faster sometimes) and know that I need to go back to all electronic. What is your current favorite thing for to do lists and scheduling?

Why do you feel like you need to go all electronic? I am a paper planner, then I make any lists I need in the Notes app on my iPhone.

I'm a paper planner girl too. Stick with paper if that's what is easiest for you.

I do a bit of both - I keep appointments electronically in the calendar on my phone, and notes about things are kept either in a notebook for a specific "task" (i.e. dd's wedding) or in my planner. copies of documents that I need to refer to are kept in a google drive. I can access the google drive from any of my computers (home and work) or my ipad or phone if needed although they are hard to work with on the phone.
I found I can't do totally one or the other. as for reminders, I will make appointments on my phone to remind me of something I need to do

I have iCal and it works so well. I never have to carry a separate planner. And I have separate colors for my personal calendar (dr appt, out with friends), my family calendar (BBQ with family, dinner with friends), and work. I can opt to see one category or all. And it updates on my computer as well.
I set an alarm for some things, usually a day ahead, either a time or an email. I could never go back to using a paper planner again.
Meant to add: I use the Notes program when I need to keep lengthy information (like what kinds of cat food the king will eat, for example). It also updates to my iPad and computer.

I keep all appointments in my phone calendar. DH and I share an iTunes account, so we put the kids' appointments there, too. It's been a lifesaver, and neither of us has so many work-related appointments that it gets too cluttered - we don't put "normal schedule" items such as music lessons in there unless they're not at the normal time.
All of my lesson plans go in my laptop. I tried a paper planner last year, and it worked really well until the end of fall term. Then, suddenly, I wasn't on top of it, and I scurried back to my electronic lesson plans. The big plus for the paper planner was that it stayed at school (unlike the laptop), so my lessons were accessible in case I had a sub. Not sure that even happened, but it was nice insurance.
Daily to-do lists go on paper, though. At school, I keep a little spiral notebook for lists. The spiral stays in my purse in case I think of something while commuting, etc. At home, to-do lists go on scrap paper (I have a little bin of half-sheet recycled papers on my desk).

I use apple calendar for all my appointments so I can set reminders and sync across all my devices. Same with work, except we use Outlook.
I do carry a travellers notebook with me that I use for shopping lists and to do list for a particular day so I can cross stuff off. It's stuff that doesn't need doing at a particular time.
If you don't like digital, I'd stick with paper - but I do find the reminders helpful. Otherwise, you have to keep looking at your planner/calendar.

I use the apple calender for events, appointments and deadlines. I use Habitica.com for keeping up with day to day stuff, to-do lists, and multi-step projects

I'm another combo user. I have a paper planner that I add my work appointment and home appointments to and I use my phone for personal reminders, to do lists, shopping lists.... I have Alexa at home and add things to my to do and shopping lists both manual with phone and by speaking to her- whichever is easier at that time.

Not for scheduling but you could probably find a way to integrate it, but I couldn't live without Evernote. ThE downside is they now limit the free version to 2 devices. I also like Google Keep to get around the 2 device limit.

I use Wunderlist for my list making for home and work projects. You can invite people to join your list if you are collaborating on a project and assign tasks/deadlines to people. You can group lists into sub folders (for example, home or work). There's an online site so you can use it on your desktop and phone/iPad.
At home, this has been awesome for keeping shopping lists with the entire family and for assigning household tasks and setting reminders for the person it's assigned to. You can also attach photos/files to task items.

For lists, I like www.workflowy.comI have the app on my phone too and it's synced, but I don't use it as much as I do the actual website. It's just so easy to use! I use google calendar for everything else, schedule-wise. Good luck!

For my calendar I use the calendar on my phone, synced with outlook for work and google calendar for home. For lists I use a bullet journal and Things app on my phone and iPad. If you follow GTD at all things is useful, flexible and simple. I just have a hard time giving up analogue.
