Watching the first episode of season 8 which aired last night! I'm not hating it! I miss Mel and Sue but the new cast has great chemistry.
The contestants are good but lots of men this year! Will be back to dish when it's finished.

Too many tears! Too many commercial breaks! Love Noel. It's going to be good!

I love Noel too! Has he had facial work done?
I really loved the first showstopper. Some really great work! I loved Steven's cake and glad he got star baker.
I like Prue too. She was a judge for 3 seasons on Australia's Bake off.

There was some very inventive work. The quality of most was excellent.
The Extra Slice airs tonight I think. Looking forward to that.

I like Sandi - not sure about Noel yet. I hope their banter relaxes a bit, it sounds too scripted and hopefully it becomes more natural as they gel together.
Steven is very talented and so is the older lady - Flo?
A promising start!

I like Prue too. She was a judge for 3 seasons on Australia's Bake off You must mean another country - she wasn't on either version of the Australian bake off.

Prue was a judge on Great British Menu. A competition for professional chefs to produce a course for a four course banquet.

The first ( bad) season had some lady called Kerry something she was skinny with short dark hair and always wears a headband. The next ( good) version of which there have been two seasons, the female judge is Maggie Beer. I guess they do look a bit alike...except of course that one has a very British accent & the other is an Aussie

And that dreaded headband! Lol Maggie does look like Prue, that's what confused me. I watched all three seasons of Aus and also Irish bake off but it's been awhile since any new series.

I watched all three seasons of Aus and also Irish bake off but it's been awhile since any new series They have been doing one season a year and last year the Aussie version started just before the British version ended. So I would expect a new season to start sometime in the next few weeks - I just googled but couldn't see a definite date other than "end of the year".
