Welcome to Sept. How about a blind scraplift challenge? Here's how it works: I have a page I've created that has not been shared in my gallery and I want you to scraplift it. I'll describe what it looks like, and at the end of the month I'll come back and add to my gallery and share it in this post. My layout has: - a plain cardstock background
- 1 4x6 photo positioned roughly in the centre right of the page
- a monochromatic colour scheme
- several layers of paper underneath the photo, including vellum, embossed cardstock, and a doily
- journaling typed on a 4x6 cut apart card
- the journaling card is tucked underneath the edge of the paper layers on the left hand side of the photo
- the title is two words, one from thickers, and the other a die cut
- the title is placed directly below the photo and paper layers
- there are three embellishment clusters: one on the blank space on the journaling card, one on the top right hand corner of the paper layers, and one on the right hand side of the title
- each embellishment cluster has at least one item that is not in either of the other clusters
- there are sprinkles of mist in each of the embellishment clusters
Substitutions are welcomed and encouraged. All types of projects count (paper, digi, hybrid, PL, art journaling, anything else you create) and if you share your projects online please link them here so we can admire and leave some love. You can find instructions to post in the Refupeas gallery in this thread but shout out if you need help. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Edited to add my original layout: happy place

What an incredibly fun idea! Already picturing mine...
How do we handle our own reveals? Do we just announce here when we are done, then all reveal at the end of the month?

I imagined everyone would post as they create which could then also help anyone who's feeling a bit stuck or uninspired but I"m certainly open to doing it other ways.

My page is done. Just need to snap a pic of it. Stuck mostly to script, but used a 5x7 photo. Had most of it done yesterday, but the clusters had me going for quite a while. (Clusters scare me: it takes a lot of effort to make them look effortless ) Finally found something that would work this morning. Still wondering if I should post it in the Gallery or hold off until the end of the month.

Anyone else interested in taking this one on? KikiPea, DawnMcD, and nicolep, I am hoping you can find the time to try this. Chinagirl828, it will be fun to see the original at the end of the month!

I hope you'll post your page before the end of the month but totally understand if you'd prefer to have a grand reveal of all the pages. I can't wait to see how similar (or not!) your scraplift is to my page.

My layout for this is done. My first traditional layout in a few months. It felt good to play with real paper, but as per my usual when I've had time away, it's not my best layout. 😂

I finished my layout. When are we sharing? I have mine done and could share anytime. I will be away from home from Thursday morning until next Tuesday, and since the photo of my LO is on my home computer, I would need to do it either before I leave or after I get back. What do you think?

I'll be posting mine on Sunday but I can't wait to see what everyone else has created! Well I've seen your work and I'm sure it's just beautiful. I am a simple scrapper. I don't do a lot of techniques. Plus, I just used your description as a general guide. So I'm not thinking I nailed it. But I had fun with this challenge.

I really love your layout @ grammadee. I really struggled with putting embellishments in the top right-hand corner. So I went left instead. And my scallop circle was meant to mimic the doily.

Believe me, jeremysgirl, I struggled with ALL the clusters. I like that yours look so clean and effortless! I like your cluster on the left: it doesn't get swallowed up by the bg pp that way. And great creativity with the doily stand in!

Well I just think you nailed it grammadee. I cannot wait to see the original. You hit almost every single mark.

I really love the banner shape in your paper layers - I'll be lifting that for sure - and your finished page is lovely.

I struggled with ALL the clusters. It certainly doesn't look like it. This is a great scraplift and I've left you some praise in the gallery.
