Hi Peas! Long time no chat! This summer was super busy and FUN! I have tons of pictures to scrap now and can't wait to dig in once the littles go to school (first time for the youngest cross your fingers!)! So now it is time to get in the scrap space and bash some stash as my shopping didn't stop (OOPS!). Who is with me!?!?!?! Fall is usually busy but I am determined to make some things and fondle some paper! For SEPTEMBER I would love to see you put together a kit including the following:
5-10 patterned papers with at least 3 of the following:
stripes small polka dots (are they called swiss dots?) gingham/plaid photo realistic wood grain or wood planked something VERY themed (think graduation, patriotic, animal/zoo, ancestry, all girl, all boy, holiday specific etc etc) specialty paper (mulberry anyone?, glitter, cork, crimped, metallic etc etc) floral
- a die or embossing folder you have not used in forever
- a stamp set(s) that has not been featured in the past 3 months
- something dimensional
- alphabet stickers/thickers
- washi
- jolees or something similar
- colored ink (pen, ink pad, or spray will do)
For the stash busting part choose one or two from the following:twine
ribbon
chipboard
flat stickers
pearls
decorative scissors
Gather your items. Remember you may substitute ONE item in the original list at your discretion. Post a photo. CREATE. All items go, cards, layouts, mixed media etc etc as long as some part is paper you are golden! At the end of this month/beginning of next I will use random.org to draw a name from all those that post in this thread (kits and creations) for a 5.00 e gift card to either acot or paperissues (does she do them?). Your choice! Happy creating!

Here is mine. I took a nap (yay for sundays!). For my polka dotted papers I am using some colored bazzill swiss dotted stuff, my photo realistic is one of the moon and my specialty is the glitter (which is HUGE for me). Lots of stars (dimensional acrylic ones from elles studio). I am scrapping our adventures with the solar eclipse. There is some OLD cuttlebug star die/embossing thing, some cloud and doily (from aliexpress never used) die, stamps, washi, spray ink and thickers. My bash stash item are the OLD chipboard stars in the bottom left corner. I am excited to dig into this!

This thread is perfectly timed. I am working on making kits this weekend. I have a couple of weekend retreats and full day crops coming up and really need to prep a ton of kits. I will get to work and post my results. Thanks for the inspiration!

After thinking about how to jazz up my July Hero Arts stamp kit, this thread inspired me to go through my stash. I put together a kit and posted a photo on the Labor Day weekend thread, It's not too extensive, and all of the papers are from an OA Farm Girl pad, but it fits the challenge. I even got out my TH wood grain stamp. I'll post more as work progresses, when I'm sure to pull a few other things into the mix.

I pulled my kit together and have been scrapping from it but hadn't posted it. My papers are polka dots, floral, and specialty (a transparency and a textured non 12x12 paper) and for stash busting I've pulled in ribbon and flat stickers. Here's my kit: Sept BYOK

Here's another one using the swiss dot cardstock, washi, stickers, enamel hearts, and two of the patterned papers. I've pulled in a couple of things from my stash as well. Lovely

Hey guys! I wanted to share this here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF10Xq8Uek8 One of my favorite youtubers filmed putting together a few PL style kits and I found it super inspiring and cool (even as someone who doesn't really do this). Just wanted to share!

crystalb thank you so much for offering a gift certificate. I've never been a kit scrapper until this year thanks to these challenges. You've had me reaching for all sorts of things that would normally lie neglected in my stash.

I will post a layout I just did using some of those supplies. Believe it or not, with this living history project using gingham, wood and photo realistic is not a problem!

I like your challenges, too. I don't do kits, but I enjoy seeing what everyone else does and who knows, maybe I'll learn how to do them, too. I appreciate everyone who does the challenges and find them very helpful.
