The refupeas were so incredibly kind this past April when our beloved rescue horse Nick passed away. We (my mom and I) have slowly started looking at ads for another horse within the last month but none of them really seemed "right". Well, this afternoon scrolling through Craigslist we both had to take a second glance because a horse was listed that looked exactly like Nick. He's 13 (Nick was 14 when we got him) and very reasonably priced. He even has a crooked blue halter on in his pictures just like Nick always wore. He's also only 20 minutes away. Keep your fingers crossed for us please. I hope it works out! UPDATE: So yeah I got all caught up in the moment and forgot to take pictures. These are the ones from his sales ad though and when we go pick him up I'll for sure take some. But basically he is perfect. Super friendly, loves people. Hasn't been ridden or messed with in 3 years since his owner got "too old" and his family told him he wasn't allowed to ride anymore. The man selling him is 88 and this horse is his baby. Even being out to pasture for three years he took his bridle perfectly, has wonderful ground manners and overall just seems like a really good fit. Plus he's fat. So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen... meet Chaos. Attachments:

I'm so excited for you! It sounds like this was the perfect situation for you and this horse. I'm sure the man who sold him was relieved that he was going to someone in the area and where he would be loved.

How wonderful for you and for this horse! It's like it was meant to be. I'm sure for this 88 year old man it was difficult to let go of his baby, but knowing he is going to a great home where he will be well taken care of and given the attention he needs will certainly have softened the blow. Chaos certainly needs to be ridden and exercised and continued to be loved and now he will be thanks to you and your family.

I love Chaos! The horse and his name. I'm glad he has found a good new home and hope his previous owner finds solace in that. I can't imagine how hard it was for him if he loved Chaos like his baby.

What a cutie! Just remember than good ground manners are one thing, but he may act like a spoiled brat when you ask him to work. Enjoy the process, and congratulations!
