We're under a Hurricane warning but I'm pretty much done with preparations so...I'm scrapping this weekend.
so far I've done 7 layouts (8x8) to finish up DD17's Junior year in her high school album
next is the Senior year back to school layout to catch me up completely in that album

You've made good progress, considering it's early Saturday!
I have some home projects to work on this weekend. They're not fun, so I'm going to reward myself lots of with scrapping time.
This month is dedicated to working with card kits and other unused items from summer, and catching up on this year's album pages. I'm trying to build up a stock of cards to donate to a fundraising art fair.
I really want to get into my Halloween goodies, but trying to wait a couple more weeks.

Wow, linda! That is true scrappy determination! Better way to spend a stormy weekend than being glued to the weather channel or CNN! I have a couple of pages on the go. Using paint, so I need to have the patience to let it dry. Can't seem to multitask this weekend, so will need to complete those two before moving on to different pages. I need to put away a bunch of papers I sorted a couple of days ago, so I can do that while I wait... Hoping to get at least a couple more done this weekend, maybe more if dh goes to the neighbours' for coffee Sunday morning.

I'm recovering from a Disneyland trip so I'm torn between sitting here with my laptop and uploading pictures from my phone and editing them. We had such a good time that I should at least do some journaling or write down some details while the memories are fresh. I love that place. Linda, I hope you and your family will be safe. I'm impressed that you are able to scrap right now. I know worrying doesn't help but I'd probably find a corner of the house and suck my thumb and cry.

I just canceled my quick quotes private reserve that suppose to be next Friday. I was going to get there on Wednesday and sight see. Ugh. I'm glad I'm not the one fleeing the hurricane.

I only went to the dentist last weekend and couldn't do anything for days beforehand I have made a card. The Silhouette Studio videos where I try to draw stuff are proving popular - the bird one has 1,199 views! As I don't put myself out there that much I am chuffed people find it and like it. I'm just exporting the video for the card I did today; it's a bit long but I have to say the finished project is quite good Here's a little taster... inspiration card on the left, Silhouette version on the right and my printed version in the middle.

I don't think I would have the patience for paint Linda, I hope you and your family will be safe. Thank you! JaneB - love your card! that is awesome! I think we are all prepped - I only managed one more layout because DH finally woke up and we were able to go out for a few last minute things and then clean up the yard. Planning to scrap some more after dinner - it helps keep me from obsessively refreshing NHC and weather.com

I hope you and yours stay safe, linda . I've been out all day but I got home around 4 and decided to do some playing with my Distress Oxides. I'm not getting quite the results I'm looking for, but I'm wondering if maybe I need to find some watercolor paper or mixed-media paper. I should also probably watch some videos and refresh my memory about techniques. The colors are certainly vivid and beautiful, though.

I worked on my scraproom and packed for my art journal class tomorrow. Looking forward to that. It's a great group. And 3 hours basically of just creating. Sharing ideas and socializing.

I went to a crop Fri eve and Sat. I did work on my current pictures and made a big dent. I got my eclipse layouts done with the kits I got from a Beautiful Mess. Can't find my father's day pics and another set but I was over all happy. BUT.... There is a lady I crop with at this particular crop. She may be younger than me but she looks and acts ancient, and has more medical problems than the entire room combined (according to her.) Very attention seeking. So she calls herself the Cricut Queen - owns like 10 different ones and makes all these projects. The latest one is clocks. She brings all of them so everyone can ooh and ahhh. She calls her husband all day, and puts him on speaker phone, loudly. Then because he's loud she raises her voice so she is basically having her conversation with the whole room. My friends are all giving me exasperated looks, and I finally say, Mary - she looks up from her phone and says, "Wat? " I gesture and mouth - "too loud" Can you lower it?" She says loudly, "I have it on speaker because I'm doing something." So I say, "Well can you stop for a minute and lower the phone?" She then tells her husband, "Someone is complaining I'm too loud so I have to go, so I hear him say, Well F her. Then I say, I hear that too. So she hangs up, goes into the other room with the crop hostess and we all hear her wailing/sobbing at the top of her lungs. Then the rest of the evening everytime someone's phone rings she says, loudly, Better not be too loud! I was abut ready to throat punch her. And not one other person in the room said, "Yes, Mary, it is loud." In fact, one friend of mine sitting closest to her actually went over to see what she was working on and she never does that - I guess she wanted to make sure she wouldn't be her next victim or something. How is it I end up being the bad guy when she is so freaking rude? And then immature and vindictive. Why is it no one else will ever speak up to these folks? I had my head phones and music on by the way - she was that loud.

Hope you are okay, linda . Check in here if you can. You might have been the bad guy, but you solved the problem, myboysnme ! Maybe she won't register for the next crop! Your cards are lovely, JaneB! Tfs. I finally got into my scraproom to play today. Felt WONDERFUL!!! Finished 2 pages I had started a couple of days ago, and then went on to start and finish 4 more. Of the six I completed, four of them are in the Gallery here. I am probably done for today, but I already have plans for the next couple of pages. Will pull out the photos and maybe soem product to go with them, so they are front and centre when I come in here again.

grammadee - I'm here - okay so far. We had rain and winds (20mph) overnight and today so far but not from Irma from a noreaster. Bands from Irma are supposed to be arriving here late afternoon and overnight into tomorrow will be the worst of it. I'm almost done with scanning the Dec 2016 layouts to get that album off my desk and onto the shelf -then I'll tackle scrapping the rest of June 2017...if I can stay off the computer, that is

I hate it when people are on speaker phone. Why would I want your conversation to be front and center? It is bad enough how loud people talk on cell phones. Clearly this woman has some social issues with the way she behaved when she returned.

Why is it no one else will ever speak up to these folks? Good grief! This is usually me, I'm always the bad guy. Not that I leave my house to go anywhere these days... I bet I could give her a run for her money on health grounds though, not least having the wheelchair to prove it Thanks for the kind words about the card - I did the video, just over an hour of my dulcet tones It's not scrapbooking, but I did refresh my website design over the last few weeks. I'm particularly proud of my front page slider design. I drew the Silhouette Cameo, computer, and printer. And incorporated some art of my own on the wall, and a couple of scrapbook pages!

JaneB, that is an awesome display. Love all the little details! It is no longer the weekend, but I managed to churn out a couple more pages this morning, and I have the second set ready to glue down. Waiting for inspiration to hit me for something to tie the two together a little more, but am pretty happy with them, so might just add journaling and call them DONE! How did your community fare when Irma passed through, linda? Haven't checked the news feeds this morning, but it looked like no matter where you live in Florida there would probably be an aftermath of the storm.

I'm okay - we had a lot of rain and wind but no damage - just a lot of tree litter. Power was out for almost 2 full days but is back on now. We were lucky I'm glad you're OK We had an amber warning for rain and high winds yesterday, from Storm Aileen. The electricity company even sent me an email warning me about possible power cuts as I'm on a list for being "vulnerable", a word I rather dislike but eh, it means I'll get help I suppose. Like emails warning me. The window was between midnight and 6am - and nothing to report here I'm relieved; the hardest part of no power is no heating and no way to make a cup of tea! I fired up the Silhouette and cut some cards, just in case.

JaneB -I'm glad you didn't have any problems from the storm. Vulnerable doesn't sound very nice but it sounds like it does the trick for making sure you get warning emails.
