Doesn't matter how he spins it, he took a meeting EXPECTING damaging information about Hillary. Even if she talked about clowns and monkeys, he took the meeting knowing it was presented as collusion.
He can lie all he likes, he still took the meeting with intent to get information. Dumbass.

It seems that perhaps memory loss research is something that needs more funding, because so many people in Washington suffer from it. So sad to suffer from it at such a young age, though. At least Hillary is in her 70's - Junior is only 39.

You realize that wasn't an excuse for Hillary - or maybe you don't? Way too many politicians in Washington (and some in other places) seem to have conveniently poor memories when it comes to things that they are being held accountable for. It's not one party, it's both.
Reagan, Arpaio, Clinton - at least they are older and can be forgiven for some amount of memory loss. But at 39? That's a tragedy. If my memory at 39 were that bad, I'd be concerned and get it checked out.
If these people truly have such bad memories for major things, perhaps they should not be working in important positions of power.

Actually, I did not realize you weren't offering an excuse for Hillary whose modus operendi for testimony is to claim "I don't recall".
However, I will accept your word for it. I agree with you, too many politicians get a pass on just about everything (like the recent decision not to go after Lois Lerner). It's really no wonder that the average person in this country believes that all politicians are crooks.

Don Jr. has had so many versions of his story I'd be surprised if even he knows what the truth is anymore. Loved how he snuck in thru a backdoor. Too much of a coward to face the press!

LOL.. there will always be those who will excuse Hillary but condemn others who do exactly the same thing. Just as there will always be people who condemn her even though she is no longer a politician or isn't President.

I don't find the "Yes, I wanted to collude, but I couldn't do it right" defense very reassuring.
And it's so strange that the same people who say "Get over it. Trump won, you lost." are still talking about Hillary!

If you read at the link, he is allowed, but not required to have protection. Except, I guess, if he needs to visit foreign spies, er, um, I mean adoption officials and/or spend time w/his attorney regarding his upcoming indictments?.

Can you just imagine if Hillary was president and Chelsea had done this? Holy shit, the Trumpsters would've spontaneously combusted. What fuckery abounds.

Jr. reactivated his secret service protection. Wonder what he had to do last week in secret? It's too bad he didn't just sneak out the back door in a cheesy disguise or something. Canceling, then reactivating; some poor office worker in the secret service office probably had to do so much paperwork and rescheduling.

These people are such complete trash. Anyone who defends this kind of behavior is no better than a Trump. Which, if you don't get it, is an insult.

he cancelled his secret service protection. I can't help but wonder if there was secret secret service keeping an eye on him anyway.
