I love trilogies and other book series. What are your favorites? I have enjoyed:
Discovery of Witches Trilogy by Deborah Harkness Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins Inn Boonsboro Series by Nora Roberts Bride Quartet Series by Nora Roberts Elm Creek Quilts Series by Jennifer Chiaverini Maze Runner Series by James Dashner Valentine Series by Adriana Trigiani Fablehaven Series by Brandon Mull Something Borrowed Series by Emily Giffin
There are more YA series that I have read, but I thought that was a good start for a list.

The Hunger Games Outlander Miles Vorkosigian series by Lois McMaster Bujold (sci if series about a genius born with severe physical issues) Dragonriders of Pern The Hollows series (alternate dystopian earth where witches, fairies, and vampires are very real) Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series and Alpha and Omega series (shape shifters and werewolves) Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series (shape shifting vampire hunter)
I could go on and on. I'm a scifi junkie, a genre which tends to series.

After reading the Hunger Games, I went through a "YA Distopian Trilogy" phase. I've read a ton of them! My favorites (these include only the series where I liked all three books. I won't list Divergent, because while I loved the first book, the series went downhill from there):
Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Laini Taylor Under the a Never Sky, Veronica Rossi Girl of Fire and Thorns, Rae Carlson Razorland Series, Anne Aguirre
Series that still have books coming out: The Lunar Chronicles, Marissa Meyer The Dust Lands Series, Moira Young Penryn and the End of Days, Susan Ee
Not really Distopian, more "Other Worldly": Shadowfell, Juliette Marillier Graceling, Kristin Cashore
Adult Series: Outlander A Discovery of Witches Clan of the Cave Bear (except the last one)

I forgot the Series of Unfortunate Events (and yes, I realize that they are supposed to be for children, but they are hilarious and chock full of literary references!)

Great thread topic, OP!
My faves:
Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Hobbit
Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series, by Laurell K Hamilton (yes, it's a bit played out, but I like the characters and at this point can't give up on them)
Meredith Gentry series, also by Laurell K Hamilton
The Black Dagger Brotherhood series, by J R Ward.
I like books by Diana Palmer (love her cowboy romances most)
I like many books by Debbie Macomber
The Harry Potter series
The Sookie Stackhouse series
The Hunger Games trilogy
And I'll even admit that I liked the Twilight saga

The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patric Rothfuss! Although I'm cheating, because the third book is still much anticipated by the fans. But I tore through the first two books, and got my husband hooked as well. I recommend them to all fantasy fans!

The Adrian Mole books are my favorite although I never really thought of them as a series, but I guess they kind of are.
Loved Harry Potter and enjoyed Lord of the Rings. The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo books were good too.

I love the 87th Precinct novels by Ed McBain. There are dozens of them, and I think I own all but two. I also love Lawrence Block's Matt Scudder novels, and Ian Rankin's Rebus novels. I adore Donna Leon's Commissario Brunetti books set in Venice, and all of Alexander McCall Smith's series (No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, 44 Scotland Street, The Sunday Philosophy Club).

Thank you for starting this thread. I tend to avoid book series especially if they are new ones that haven't finished. I'm awful about remembering details from the previous books.
I didn't realize the Ms. Peregrine's series and the Ken Follett 20th century series were not finished when I started. I like both and need to read the third book in each. The 3rd one in the Peregrine's series hasn't come out yet.
Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I read the entire Cedar Cove series by Debbie MaComber. Light romance based in Washington. I kept reading because I wanted to know how it all ended with the characters. The series is on Hallmark right now and they have changed so many story lines, so I don't think I'll keep watching.
I'll probably be blasted, but I got tired of the Anne of Green Gables series towards the end. Gahhh, the woman is so obsessed with looks. I did love the description of the places she lived. Most of the characters were just as interesting.
I guess I should try reading Harry Potter, I didn't get into the first book much the first time.
