I shouldn't be surprised. My WITL package arrived and they used an envelope too narrow for 6x8 page protectors. So the pages are bent and dented. And sticking them under something heavy isn't going to remove the defects. I've got a message into CS. As for packaging. Alphabet sets came in glassine bags and the WITL transparency pack came in 4 plastic packagings.

I had page protectors and DD journal cards, and that is it. I would be mad!!

I thought Studio Calico handled her IT stuff for her store. I thought her husband worked at some store that does support for Apple products and since he owned it, he can go and come as he pleases. Seems like I recall he did screen fixes, etc. for Apple products. Nothing really high-tech.
ETA: I'd be upset about those page protectors too! That's why they need to do a better job of packing and not just throwing some brown paper on top of things.
Maybe at some point he did, but I know she has posted about him being behind her updated website and she has said the reason for the big renovation at their home was so he could have an at-home office so he could run his job out of.

Owning a store certainly wouldnāt allow him to come and go as he pleases. Iām with mom sheās definitely talked about him working on her website. The blog, the videos.

It would if he has enough employees. He definitely owns an IT store and possibly a hosting company too. Most likely heās doing more of the remote support with employees in-store for the more basic there & then work.

I believe he is the owner/founder of Mac Tonic in Eugene. There is an unfavorable review from January on Glassdoor.com citing āabsentee owner & business arbitrarily closed occasionally with little to no notice (and no pay)ā as just a few of the cons. Iām not sure about an office but they made a music room for him to āwork on his musicā.......whatever that means.

Yup, there's an article from several years ago in a Eugene, OR magazine about him and Mac Tonic and he is listed as President according to linked in.
I gather he enjoys making music - there are pictures of him playing drums with the kids, so it makes a lot of sense that they'd want a music room that can also double as his home office.

Good sleuthing everyone on Aaron's business! No idea how you were all able to track that down.
The mailing packages they use seem to be totally random. Sometimes it's way too small, sometimes they send a pizza box for a tiny item. I won a past 6x8 stamp subscription stamp (from SC) on instagram and, because it was free, I felt like I couldn't complain, but they sent it without any internal packaging and it had clearly been used and then crammed into too small of an envelope so the plastic backing the stamp sticks to has a hard crease in it and it won't lay flat. No matter what I do it can't go back to normal. Why they gave away used merchandise is beyond me, but no need to cram it into such a tiny envelope and mess it up even further. To Ali's credit, she doesn't have anything to do with their mailing (although of course she chose to team up with them).
Hello Story 2 update. The final lesson is out today, color. While I enjoy her projects and actually have quite a few ideas sparked from what I've watched so far, she clearly ran out of steam with this class. The first two lessons had multiple 45 minute or more process videos and took days to get through. While this one has the same number of projects, the process videos are all about 10-15 minutes, the longest one is 20. I'm also not thrilled she decided to go on vacation during the class. I know it's spring break for the kids, but couldn't she have planned to run the class so it wouldn't overlap? She said she would still be checking into the classroom but at the very least it will be less than usual. All that being said, I'm still happy with my decision to purchase the class and have gotten a lot of inspiration out of it.
She also mentioned that she is considering making this an annual class, so next year will be Hello Story 3, etc. Each year will be 3 weeks like this one with 3 new themes. While I like the idea of an annual update, I'm not sure I am willing to shell out this much for a class each year.

Has everyone had their WITL ship? Mine just says active. I didn't order the kit or stamps, just page protectors and a couple of embellishments.

Mine arrived on Saturday, but the tracking said it wouldn't come until today. Not sure why tracking was off, but I think someone else posted about the same issue as well. So I wouldn't put too much stock in the tracking info...

Update on my bent page protectors. I woke up to an email with a generic we're sorry and we're sending out replacements.
So at least they're quick with email replies.

I received my order today all safe and sound. To replace the 2 bad rubbers, they just added a small plastic pouch with the corrected rubbers. You can actually repurpose the misspelled ones, if you don't mind chopping off the word "stories". I'll definitely use them at some point, but I understand not everyone is as happy about the rubbers as me. Everything else seemed good, even my album which I've had problems with in the past was in one piece.

I received my order on Wednesday, but I just had time to open the box. Let me just say that the Rose albums are so gorgeous! I purchased 4 for my daughter's albums and do not regret it at all, this is coming from someone who cannot take too much of the color pink! I guess this shade does it for me! Glad I gave Ali another chance after banning Studio Calico.

Ali is having a Spring Cleaning sale. I only found it on Instagram - Past WITL and DITL stuff, some travel, stamps, etc. Welcome15 worked for me as a guest, bringing the 4x6 stamps down to under $11. Shipping was reasonable at $2.60. Happy Friday Night shopping ladies!
