I stopped my story kit subscription in March and picked up three kits and three stamps between then and now during the stories revisited sale. Although I got the kits on sale, I wish I had access to the classes that go along with them. I really like this kit and the list of upcoming themes. I want to subscribe again! I think I’ll go ahead and do it. I like the colors of the gratitude kit. It has yellow and orange for fall and I love black and navy. The pink is throwing me off a little but I love pink so it doesn’t bother me. I like the stamp too but will only sub to one of the kits, not both. Loving those 6x8 transparencies!

FYI the current Ali promo is working for albums and pp’s. I was able to get a bunch off pp’s, an album, and some other things I wanted (but never wanted enough to pay shipping) and qualify for the shipping promo too. 15% isn’t the greatest deal ever but with free shipping it was worth it for me to get stocked up on sizes I needed. And the album I picked up came with 24 pp for $21.24 which was a good deal for me too.

I finally went and canceled ALL of my AE subscriptions today. I am not going to resub to ANY of them next year.
I'll pick up some of the read stuff if it goes on sale for Black Friday and I may take a look at the travel stuff next year. Other than that, I don't plan on buying anything from AE next year unless it is on sale.

Packing up my house and finding random kits stashed all over the place has also helped contribute to this decision.

She posted there will be deeper discounts the week of Thanksgiving (I'm not sure exactly when) for some of her project based products (OLW, etc). She'll also have a sale of most classes and digital products.

Someone on IG mentioned that they were surprised that today was AE DITL and I was extra surprised because I don't think I've seen ANY mention of it on any of the threads I read here! None of the people I follow on IG seem to be doing it, at least not in real time. I still follow some major DT/AE fangirls so again, extra surprised. I had to actually look up AE's account before I believed that it really was DITL today.
Are any of you still doing this project? Or is everyone just too busy with DD prep and 30 Days of Thankful?

For me, I did not do DIITL at all this year. Just too many other 'bonus' projects I would rather do than DITL.

I didn’t do day in the life at all this year. There are so many “bonus” projects Ali does and I can’t keep up! I am happy creating traditional pages for now.

I have the kit I bought earlier in the year so I went with it.

I do DITL. some of the pis will be used in a pocket page insert in my regular album. I am doing 30 days of thankful so the pics can be used in that album as well. I do like looking back on the previous years.

I do DITL -- this and DD are the only 2 projects I actually do in physical format using physical product. I bought Ali's DITL kit and have done 2 days thus far and have 1 day to still complete. One in Feb, one in June, one in August and this one in Nov. I am loosly taking photos today and may use today or choose another day later this week. But I agree doesn't seem to be too many people posting.

I may have seen more of it in past years because for a while she was promoting separate kits for each date, which seemed like overkill and generated a lot of talk here. I only saw 2 mentions of it in my IG feed (well, actually 1 was in Stories, much easier to miss) this time and no one I follow posted updates throughout the day.

This had to be one of the most UNEVENTFUL/LEAST PARTICIPATED IN DITL that I've ever (never) seen. I saw ONE person that I follow on IG participating.
The only reason I knew that Ali was doing it yesterday was because I kept getting notifications of her post on IG and wondered what in the heck was going on lol. Seriously. Had no idea until I went and looked.

joblackford I really think that is it, no new product for this go round... I am pretty sure that is why it was so uneventful.

I didn’t attempt DITL or buy the kit but seeing it in use I really like it. I would consider picking it up on sale. I’m doing WITL this week. I was going to do it this summer but totally forgot. I’m kicking myself because day light savings is a b*#ch for taking pictures. Oh well. I’ve been completing the journaling at the end of everyday so I’m real hopeful this attempt will result in an actual album lol. I don’t do DD but I love seeing everyone’s albums. Lots of great inspiration.

Remember that year when we could use the code for a free digi word over and over again? (I never used any that I "bought")

My kit arrived today and I really like it. The only add-on I purchased was the mirrored stars and they are cute, too.
I re-subscribed about three months ago but I haven’t had time to look at the included class for each month. Have they been good lately? When I canceled my subscription a year ago most of her videos were pocket pages or 6x8 pages, which I didn’t like (and was part of the reason I canceled my subscription). Hopefully the inspiration projects are 8.5x11 or 12x12 layouts.

I looked back through the handouts from this year. She still does one 12x12 PL and looks like at least one traditional 12x12 layout from the kit. From there it varies. Sometimes 6x8, I saw a few 8.5x11, and some 9x12. She did a really neat double page 6x8 layout from the gratitude kit that I think would be better adapted to a 12x12 page.

So call me an @$$hole but I just saw Ali asking for help coming up with new words for the just write prompt. So if people are responding with piles of words, and all she does is send out a word, why the f*ck would anyone pay for the class?

I currently am subscribed to the Just Write subscription. I honestly have no problem with her reaching out to ask what words people might like to see. I don't have any to add, but if I did I would chime in. She may be getting ideas from people, but it is also a way to make sure her subscribers are happy. Twice per month, she chooses a word, provides word art and a prompt with some writing ideas. It may not be for everyone, of course but I am happy with it for now.

There is a Facebook post about OLW release. Products and registration are on December 4. They reduced the product offerings this year but added something new, a subscription. Basically you commit for 4 quarterly mini kits up front. You can only see the first kit before purchasing.
I skipped the workshop last year and only got the journal, which I abandoned about halfway through the year. That was partly because this year was CRAZY but also because I think I need the group motivation and monthly check in, so next year my plan is to create an album and take the class. I am intrigued by the mini kits... I like the idea of getting products throughout the year as a motivator, but I’m not thrilled you can’t see them all before buying.

I didn’t realize she gave ideas as well. I thought it was literally just a word, so I stand corrected.

its ok... I mean, its a "low impact project". Its not a big ol class or anything, and people I am sure could think it up on their own, if they wanted to. I am going to do it until I do not enjoy it anymore lol.

I'M not sure what I think about it, I guess I will have to see. I am doing OLW for sure, but I have a huge stash and may just use that + the digital stuff this year. She posted a comment to one of her posts that the first kit will be a good indication of what the future kits will be like, so I guess I will wait and see what I think of that first one.

Ugh another sub. I hate when stuff is only announced on Facebook. So will there still be a stand alone class or do you have to get the sub?
