I had DD senior pictures done. I'm picking up the digital files on Sunday. I need a place to order pictures and I usually just print my pictures through Shutterfly but they have been doing a terrible job lately. Plus I would really like a matte finish. Any suggestions of where to print?

If you're a member, Costco has a matte finish and their prices are decent. I've always been happy with my photos from there.

For special photos like that I would use Persnickety Prints. They have a variety of paper options, including matte.

I would also suggest Persnickety. I usually print at Costco for my weekly PL, but for super special stuff, I go to Persnickety and wait for the shipping.

Thank you for the suggestion. I was just looking at their pricing. I really want these done well so I'm willing to pay more for excellent photos.

www.nationsphotolab.comThey print all the fancy papers and finishes. You can't beat their prices and shipping. I usually buy digital images of our photos and print with them. You can't tell which I paid big bucks from the photographer and which I print with Nations.

I use persnickety for special sized prints too but I have also heard only rave reviews of Mpix. I want to try them next time.

When I am in the US I always get matte prints done by ordering from Walgreens. I know that the last time I did this I had to have them shipped but they were really good quality. Normally you can find a coupon online to get a discount.

Mpix! Their metallic finish is cool, too! Yes! MPIX. We took ds's senior pics last year at the Grand Canyon and I had Mpix's print them with their metallic finish. They turned out great. MPix is an arm of Miller Labs (professional printer). It's printing for the general public, but my understanding is, it is the same service/ quality they offer the professionals.

Persnickety has the metallic finish prints too. I ordered a few of our wedding photos and they were gorgeous. Especially the B&W. Now I'm thinking I should print a Sedona photo in metallic tduby1!
