Both kids have been back in school for a few days. I have kept busy (first time for youngest to go all day). Today is my scheduled scrappy/organize day. Anyone else have plans to scrap/organize today or this weekend? Done anything this week? Want to share?
Any good challenges or sketches out there to get me going?

Might try to salvage a couple of pages I messed up yesterday, (whole other story) but not much crafty activity around here until Saturday's card class. Lots of fun in KikiPea and Chinagirl828 and DawnMcD and dasmith2's challenges on this board this month. Here is a set of sketches for you from CSB "it's a sketchy challenge" if you need more inspiration. Have fun playing!

I'm hoping to scrap - I just ordered more pictures so I would like to get the last batch done before these arrive.
My kids are still out of school - they go back Monday post-Irma (have been out since end of school LAST Thursday) - and we're working on integrating our outdoor cats with the indoor population (we brought them in for the storm) so I'm not sure how much I'll actually accomplish esp. since there's still some yard clean-up that needs to happen

Thank you for the awesome links grammadee! You are so kind! linda I am glad y'all are fine from Irma. I have family and very close friends all over Florida (and Texas) so I have been on the phone constantly lately. I hate being on the phone but am so relieved everyone is ok just some water damage, sidings/shingles lost. Nothing that is too hard to fix. christinec68 thanks! I hope you get your page done tonight. I am off to shake the cobwebs off persay. I did put 67 pages in albums yesterday bringing my yearly total to like 331 or something so that was fun!

I'm working on finishing up a page I started this weekend. Not sure if I'll start another or not.

Probably not tonight, but I did quite a bit yesterday, since I didn't work.

I did put 67 pages in albums yesterday bringing my yearly total to like 331 or something so that was fun! Wow! That is a LOT of pages! This morning, I managed to finish the pages I had so much trouble with yesterday. That will be it for scrapping today. If I get a chance this afternoon I will make a list of the pages I want to finish before the end of the month when I am packing up my albums and taking them to show the kids and grandkids.

I need to get a card done for my hubby for our anniversary which is Sunday. I have it started, I'm just being picky about it! LOL! Otherwise, I would love to actually scrap, but I also have a lot to do to get ready for vacation! I'd really like to scrap instead... LOL!

crystalb - Thank you - I'm grateful that no one I know personally has had significant damage from Irma. It could have been SO much worse. And WOW - well done with your pages - that's a ton! I've done two layouts this morning and have a third in progress. I've been a little stymied by a large black cat who has been alternating between my lap and wrapping around the wheels of my desk chair making it hard to slide over to the scrapbook desk from the computer. He is one of two storm refugees - outdoor cats who we brought in from the storm and are attempting to make indoor cats - he's quickly decided that he's a lap kitty...a nearly 15lb lap kitty at that.

Any good challenges or sketches out there to get me going? Did you try the August sketch challenge? I'm still stuck on it. I think I've done at least 10 pages with it and still ordering 10x12's so I can do some more.

I did my weekly pages for the last 4 weeks today. Then I updated my blog with all the pages from weeks 27 through to 36 and am up to date Here's a photo of all the pages and you can read more here if you wish to. Hmm, and looking at this preview I've missed two weeks off altogether!

Quoting myself to show you just threw this together. ..only 1 page this time with a pp in place of the large pic. The tinys are from a pkg of postcards. It's perfect for some of these pp that we all have that we don't know what to do with.

I uploaded a few photos and sent them to be printed. I ordered an album from Amazon. I grabbed some stuff I need to put in my tote for the next time I get to scrap. Crop tomorrow was cancelled so I won't be scrapping for a few weeks.
I was able to find the pictures I was missing and the paper I wanted to use with them.

I've been busy with shopping and groceries this afternoon but it's perfect scrapping weather: cold and raining.

I haven't scrapped for over a week.
With the rush of kids going back to school, and doctor/dental appointments, and add a cold in for good measure, I just can't even think about touching my scrappy stuff.
I want to. I have an absolute ton of photos just waiting for me.
The closest I've come to doing anything scrappy is buying felt Halloween stickers at Dollar Tree the other day. I bought the jackolantern & ghosts pack & the Halloween words (Trick or Treat, Eek, etc) pack.

I was able to get 2 pages done, match up printed pictures to several kits (I went on a major kit making endeavor this summer when I didn't have time to scrap), and ran to Michaels during Girl Scouts to snag some organizational things. Today is picking up groceries and then popping some pumpkin bread in the oven and scrapping some more since Scrapbook Generation is hosting a weekend online crop YAY! Then off to start door to door sales for girl scout cookies since that starts today and DD has set her goal high again to keep her goal of top seller in her group! (we are the first in teh country to sell, early I know!)

Sounds like a busy day, crystalb! I don't think I would get ANY scrapping in with all that on the agenda. In fact, I didn't even start to scrap until my youngest graduated from high school! When you get into your scrap space again, and you get going on your kits, I'll bet you will be creating a whole stack of pages in no time, though. Like @elaynef said, once you find a sketch that speaks to you, you can create a lot of pages from it. I used the September double page sketch almost exactly, and since then I have turned out several sets of pages with the same linear flow. Will prob get back to my own "messy" style eventually, or else find another sketch or scraplift I can jump all over, but right now this is working to get a bunch of photos on pages. I finished a couple more pages this morning. Had the house to myself for a couple of hours, and serendipity being what it is, I was able to unite a small piece I had created at a crop Make-n-Take awhile ago with a photo my dil posted a couple of weeks ago. Amazing that both ended up on my counter in the same space/time continuum, but I jumped at the chance to use them together before one or the other disappeared again.

And for those of you scrapping this weekend, thought I would throw in this link to the Sketch-N-scrap Blog. They post a new page sketch every 2nd Friday, and are hosting a FB Back to School crop starting tomorrow.

Ouch!!! That eye scratch does not sound like much fun, dald222! I hope it heals quickly and you can see clearly without pain. Doing these pages for your dh seems like a labour of love.

Glad to hear that you are continuing to scrap and you have found a new project, dald222. I haven't done a baby album for a couple of years, but I know I have some cute little monkeys in one of those iris cases of baby scrapping supplies! I won't be scrapping this upcoming weekend. Yesterday I finished my summer album, so no push to "get it done". And I will need to clean this room before starting on back to school and fall pages. Focussing on getting the veggies out of the garden and cooking and freezing some dishes made with them will keep me pretty busy for the next few days. The only crafting I may be doing is a couple of bd cards I want to finish before next Friday.
