Just got to use some yesterday and they are AWESOME! They hold their shapes like the original Nuvo drops, and they have really bright glitter! We used a drop of "Ruby Slippers" for Rudolf's nose on a card front and not only did it dry really cool looking, it dried really FAST (within an hour or so...)
Of course I picked up a couple more bottles after the card class we were at. Can't wait to play with the other colours! I like writing titles with the "regular" Nuvo drops. Not sure if these will work for that because they seem a little thicker than the originals. But I guess I won't know unless I try!
Did someone mention about them here before and I just missed it? Or ignored it? If so, I am sorry.

Grammadee, after reading your post I had to order some of the Ruby Slipper Nuvo drops for Rudolph's nose. I ordered from A Cherry on Top, for there were some brads from there I was wanting. They also have Glow in the Dark Nuvo drops. (I had to order some of those too.) I think I've ordered enough now for Halloween and Christmas crafts.

I think the drops dry differently in different climates. Mine have always dried in an hour, but more humid climates have a longer wait. I can also pull my jeans out of the washing machine and hangs them for a few hours and am good to go wearing them.
I love the Nuvo drops. Have you seen the different things you can do with them on YouTube?

Yes, sarahbee, it was the crystal drops. Sometimes I write directly onto cs, but usually I use a piece of transparency to write on. That way if I flub up it won't wreck my page.

Oh no I will have the get the red glitter to. I didn't even think of using them for that or berries this time of year. I love the glitter ones I have. They are awesome. I am cautious about red as I have seen them used and sometimes it looks like a horror movies with red everywhere but now I want some for Rudolph lol.

LOL I have the same issue with red/coral/dark pink ink splatters and sprays. I always do it because red should be pretty, but instead it looks like Dexter visited my paper stash. Carefully placed red for berries (and hearts!) should be pretty though!

Tomorrow morning, we'll have to put our clothes for the day in the dryer to finish drying them. Current humidity outside is 93%.

I grew up with extreme humidity and hated it (great for the skin though). I love showering twice a day (if needed) and having my towels dry by the evening. I remember getting ready for work (in Omaha) and wearing a ton of hairspray because the walk from the parking lot to job would make my hair go really flat. The 80's were no time to have flat hair.

What colours would you recommend to start out with for the Nuvo drops? I love the sound of them but tend to be one who buys every colour, just to have the set. And then they sit and look pretty! I'd rather show some restraint and find out if I actually like them first!

I'd rather show some restraint and find out if I actually like them first! I bought the set of crystal drops, but tend to use only a few colours, and those are the ones that coordinate with the colours I scrap with. Because I write titles with the drops, I prefer the primary colours, black, navy, copper and gold. Of the glitter drops, the one I like the most is the ruby slipper. But again, I like dynamic elements. If you like a more subtle look, there are some really pretty pearlized finishes as well.

I scrap boys and more neutral usually so have several blues, orange, yellow and green. Oh I bought clear to for water drops. I thought of brown but figured it might look like dirt or worse and not a huge fan of black dots so didn't get those. Thinking I may need to look for grey and then metallics.

I am a massive Nuvo Dot fan! I use them on pretty much every LO I do! I just did a big blog post about them if anyone is interested, blog.heylittlemagpie.com/nuvo-crystal-drops-the-good-the-bad-the-ugly/ I don't have many of the glitter ones, I think just a blue and the white. I was always a bit wary of them cause remember those Stickles, there wasn't always glitter in every dot you did, some would just be the liquid and then it looked silly. But I used some the other day on a LO and wow, there was glitter in every dot and they look great!

I am a massive Nuvo Dot fan! I use them on pretty much every LO I do! Loved your layouts, and your post. I got my first Nuvo Drops earlier this year and struggled for about 10 minutes trying to get the white out of the bottle. I grunted and groaned, mumbling "Vicky doesn't have this trouble, she just points and squeezes..." Turns out I got a bottle where the nozzle didn't have a hole until further down - so my husband had to cut it down for me. Now it does make bigger dots but at least it works. I don't use mine enough. I need practice; in fact, I got them out today before I saw this post, and made a right mess trying to do a heart. It almost worked...

Funny, I saw this post and went to look through the Nuvo drops I had to see if I had any of the glitter drops. I actually had the Ruby Slipper drops already. I just tried them on some scrap paper to see how they will dry. Thanks for letting us know about these.

excuse my ignorance but---- what are Nuvo drops? are they like stickles? Yes, they appear to be Stickles, but are magical (this can depend on climate). They will flatten (enough) out to look like enamel dots, but not too flat. When you get really good at using them, they make cute raindrops, eyeballs, and ladybugs.
