Slightly O/T wasn't there a furore about a now retired but very famous female marathon runner who had to poop in front of the TV cameras during a competitive race; IIRC there was a fight in the media- some people were disgusted and her fans gave her a pass I am sure the lady in question was less than thrilled that she had to do it but once is still too often for me.

Serious question: she is carrying towels for wiping - does that mean she's cleaning up after herself?

I'm not sure if this is becoming a trend, but we recently had a local pharmacy post a photo of a customer and the huge log she left behind in their parking lot. One of the employees had to clean it up - so gross! My husband also once had to clean up turds that someone "dropped" in the aisle at the pharmacy where he worked.

Utta Pippig, whose name lent itself to an unfortunate nickname. She was having menstrual issues as well. But she was experiencing awful side affects while winning a marathon, not planning a jogging route to stop and take a dump, so there's that. And apparently she's not alone: blog.oregonlive.com/runoregon/2010/12/everybody_poops_even_the_elite.html

I'm thinking there's a mental health issue that plays into this situation. wellway I do think it was PR. used2scrap that combination of issues and yet needing to run your race would indeed be tough. The name you mentioned- this lady was indeed a sitter for nicknames LavenderLayoutLady, is there a suggestion that the current mad pooper has a mental health issue or are you speaking more generally? In in our old neighborhood we had a really great young man who was a little developmentally disabled (I use these words as I am not sure of the actual diagnosis. I hope I do not offend). He spent hours manicuring our cul de sac, which was a popular walking (people and pets) route down to a dam and Nature Reserve. He picked up litter, kept weeds on road reserves down and so forth. He was so proud to do so. We loved to see him out and about. He was a local hero. He went to war with a particular irresponsible and entitled dog owner who failed to heed the normal rules of bagging and disposing. When I say went to war, I mean the following horrible sequence of events . After using (with his Mom's help and the help of some of us with CCTV, putting out several nicely worded appeals on the local online group and so on) the normal channels to ask the guy in question to change his ways, he brooded for a bit (feedback from the Mom) then vented to her on an increasingly frequent basis, then snuck out to put a note in the guy's mailbox, then eventually had a screaming match with the offender at a townhouse complex gate. When the entitled one flipped him off and taunted him (caught on CCTV but not acted on until it was too late) he brooded some more then snuck out to put the offending stuff he picked up on the guy's doorstep. Eventually the entitled guy humiliated our local hero in public at a "movies in the park" night; this led to more brooding and venting then eventually he snuck out and did a poop on the entitled guy's property. Guess who was painted as the bad guy? It set his mental health back quite a bit too. I remember the residents' meeting where this whole sad saga was on the agenda. While I am very much anti public pooping (by toddlers in a diaper while being coached by parents at a restaurant, by marathoners, by anyone) I judged a lot of my neighbors that night. Guess who no longer looked after the litter?

The man puked and the woman (the driver) took a big dump in the driveway. And this was all while the sun was up!

I think it is a Denver chick. And to be honest, I have known a "lady" or two who has not been able to hold it after leaving the bars in Denver... but she at least only tinkled in an alley. Chick sounds like she is being vindictive. is it a denverite because those from colorado springs are too good to be the mad pooper? We have a few "unique" people here, but the article I read said Denver! Then again, it was from one of many FB posts and I know better than to give most of those sources the credibility that I did.

Maybe she has tummy issues. Maybe her parents loudly celebrated her bowel movements in restaurants and she never learned where and when it's appropriate to take a dump 😂

What I found more interesting is that she always poops in front of the same house. Maybe she has issues with the homeowner. Either way it is super disgusting.

maybe she is backed up and the only way she can go is to have a good jog and it just comes on then. she must know it will happen because she is prepared with napkins.

If I actually saw her doing this repeatedly, I'd get the high powered nozzle on the hose and spray her while she was shitting in my property just like I would to any animal I caught doing it.
I'm guessing that would stop it, at least on my property.

Ugh, since we were looking at going to china, the stories I have been hearing are so gross. I have friends who have had to teach people how to use bathrooms/ toilets and why you are not to poop in a park. This is mostly in smaller towns, but believe it. When we lived in Seoul, there was a park outside our apartment. NO WAY did I let my kids play there. I never saw anyone pooping, but there was plenty of grown men peeing right out in the open like it was nothing. A little too much local culture for me! We saw plenty of people pooping on the sidewalks when we lived in S Korea. My friend walked outside one day to find two men facing each other, squatting with their pants down, pooping, and carrying on a conversation. If this runner is doing this so regularly, I wonder if it's at the same time of day? You would think the police would have someone watching the area. Save

It is very very common for a long distance runner/jogger to have this problem. The need to have a BM. She most likely goes out the same time every day, same route, and her body is used to going at that time. It could also very well be a medical issue. I like how the Ps all go to the mental health issue. My boss has this issue. She carries TP with her. Granted she goes behind a bush, or out in the woods. But she can't help it. It's not something she can control. Again many runners have this happen.

And if it's such a regular occurrence, she needs to adjust her route so she can shit some place appropriate or carry WAG BAGS with her.

I'm not sure why I looked at the link mom posted. The other runner on the far right at the 47 mark pulls something from the back of his shorts and drops it on the ground. Do these race walkers wear big pads to hold this? I noticed the original guy looks like he has something besides poop inside the back of his shorts. Ewwwwto the poopy jogger and race walkers.

Ok, so, as I have posted, I have ulcerative colitis. I have been in remission for some time now, but it was really active in my 20s and, indeed, a run (and I ran for exercise) would set it off. You know what I did? Ran around the block so that I could dip into my apartment if I suddenly got the really awful pains you do get. If she has digestive issues, there are options.

The news story I saw said there's a park across the street from the house she shits in front of...a park with working restrooms. Furthermore, they said there's a gas station on the corner. There's no excuse for what she did. While I've never shat in public outside a bathroom, I have peed, but I ALWAYS find a bush and it's never in front of someone's house. So, again...NO EXCUSE for her behavior. And if she can't control it, wear a fucking diaper or stay home.
