If I actually saw her doing this repeatedly, I'd get the high powered nozzle on the hose and spray her while she was shitting in my property just like I would to any animal I caught doing it. I'm guessing that would stop it, at least on my property. I'd set up a motion detecting sprinkler system and a trail camera!

omg! why the same house?!?! seriously. if that happened to me ONCE i would NEVER jog that route again!!! i have a friend (who shall remain nameless) that worked in cuba about 8-9 years ago. he was leaving the next day to move back to canada and there was a going away bbq for him. on their way back to their lodging, he got a *really* upset stomach. it was a holiday so not much was open. he scurried to a colleague's place and knocked on the door but no answer. he finally panicked when he realized there was no where to go and he could NOT hold it. he literally dropped trou in the middle of a boulevard between two busy streets in havanna. his partner turned around and yelled "NO WAY!?!!? seriously, i don't even KNOW you!!!" and stormed away. apparently, his stomach was very upset and there was no cleaning that up so he just pulled his pants up and ran when it finally subsided. i told him it was a good thing he was leaving the country anyway.... geez!!! they probably would have KICKED him out....

It is very very common for a long distance runner/jogger to have this problem. The need to have a BM. She most likely goes out the same time every day, same route, and her body is used to going at that time. It could also very well be a medical issue. I like how the Ps all go to the mental health issue. My boss has this issue. She carries TP with her. Granted she goes behind a bush, or out in the woods. But she can't help it. It's not something she can control. Again many runners have this happen. Sorry, but as an excuse for what this woman is doing, that's bollocks. If many runners have this problem then why aren't they pooping all over the place regularly like her? If she thinks doing that in the same place every day is A-ok then maybe she does have a mental health issue otherwise there are ways you could avoid doing it there in broad daylight on a daily basis.

Having "issues" while distance running and at races is not all that unusual. What you do about it is... I get letting it fly if you're in the Olympics or World Cup type thing. I do not understand droppin' trow' in public (even behind a bush or tree), if you're just an amateur and just training. She should be charged with everything out there. This is a public health hazard. Right now So. CA is having a terrible outbreak with Hep A due in part to the practices like this of the homeless.

They also didn't say what time of the day she does this, did it? I mean, it could be 5am, and she thinks no one is up yet? Who knows.

If she has runner's diarrhea, she must know it by now, otherwise she wouldn't be carrying paper towels to clean herself up with. The responsible thing to do would be to wear an adult diaper when she runs and not just drop her "business" where she wants.
To me, it sounds more like a mental health issue.
As an aside,I read somewhere that Hitler's mother used to defecate in their neighbors' yards.

Until you've been in the situation where you think you're going to shit your pants, you really can't judge someone dropping trou' in public. I have been on runs where I get the pains and I have to start scoping out bushes....luckily it has always passed and I've made it to Starbucks. I'd rather die than crap on someone's lawn, but I can't say I'd never do it.

So if she knows it's going to happen then she can plan to be at the park across the street or the gas station just down from the yard she's pooping in. In that case, there's no excuse to *repeatedly* poop in someone's yard in front on anyone and everyone! Once or even stretching it to twice I could see it being an unplanned incident but it's not. She's carrying napkins to wipe with. There's really no excusing that. Go in the restroom!

But rather giving an explanation that it is a biological issue for some. It's abhorrent behavior. I don't think anyone is saying it's acceptable.

On the way home I almost shit myself. I had my then DH pull over to a field and I thought I was going to have to drop trou' and shit in the field. I even asked for a diaper to wipe with. I paced that field for a good minute and the feeling passed. So, clearly you have never had GI issues. And let me just say, when we got to the driveway I bolted out of the car....I didn't make it. I would have shat in a field before I shit my pants in the car. So, again, unless you've been faced with that horror you can't say what you'd do.

If this is tied to a runner's issue, then don't keep running in a residential area where you are left with no other option but to repeatedly poop on someone's sidewalk! There's just no excuse for that!

I totally get doing what you need to do if you are not near a bathroom. I get people and even those who run get GI issues. But it sounds like there are bathrooms quite close. The article I read states:
So... she can't make it across the street??

Somebody somewhere must recognize her face. I'm surprised she hasn't been identified yet. I think it's just a matter of time before we know her name. I keep checking for an update too.

I have seen the interview several times on television since this is local, and they always show the park right across the street with bathrooms. The woman who owns the house said it has happened seven times (about once a week). Her kids were the ones who saw it happen first. I'm just not willing to give the woman a pass. If she brings paper towels to wipe her arse every time, she knows it is an issue.

She should wear some type of a diaper. If I have to clean up my dog's poo or have a fine, so should she.
