We're taking yds out for late brunch. The restsaurant serves huge portions. So, dinner will be leftovers. I hope we're spoiling ds enough before he leaves. Sending healing thoughts to marianne, sueg's hubby and CarefreeSadie. Hope all of you are feeling better today. What's on your menu? Have a fantastic day.

Get well soon hop2 I'm going to attempt my first ever stuffed peppers ... I've always wanted to try them ... this is the recipe I'll give a shot: TURKEY STUFFED PEPPERS ... I am going to add some tomato sauce to the bottom to the dish because I've seen that done and it just seems to look yummy I'll bake up a frozen pizza for Picky#1 and Picky#2 because they will turn up their noses to my dinner of peppers

No green peppers are consumed in my house ... they are nasty

I love stuffed peppers ... specifically GREEN peppers. I just use my New Mexican rice and add some ground beef for the stuffing. Plus tomato sauce and cheese on top.

Sounds like we need to hear the whole story hop2. I do hope you heal quickly. leannec, I always stuff a couple of peppers, couple of zucchini and a couple of tomatoes to make something for everyone. I doubt that will help with your picky girls though. scrapmaven, savor the last few days with your YDS. Is his girlfriend going to the same college? I'm making a cabbage based salad tonight to use up vegetables in the fridge. I'm heading out of town tomorrow and DH leaves on Friday and I know the kids won't look at the vegetables while we are away. They will happily eat (most) vegetables I put in front of them, but when left to fend for themselves fall back to protein & carbs.

Well, dh looked at the ingredient list for the stuffed peppers and said that he would hate them Geez, it sucks trying to cook for other people We have roast beef leftover from the other night that has to be eaten today (this would be my time limit for leftovers) so I guess that is what we'll have ... I'll make some mashed potatoes, carrots and gravy

My clinic at work was canceled-hallelujah. There's so much work at the new house. I'm so happy. Currently painting closets I have to pick up the food for the soccer team's dinner. I made chicken tortilla soup in the crock pot. I'm sure we'll have salad too.

Hugs, hop2Dinner was mashed potatoes, veggies and sausages. Luckily, as long as I make the darned potatoes from scratch, my family will willingly consume whatever is put on their plates.

Yoga night for me which means peanut butter and toast. When DH realized I would be out for yoga, he says he's happy fending. NICE!! Let me just add: we eat stuffed peppers often: green, red, and yellow and I much prefer the red or yellow.

I have learned the hard way there is no good time to hurt your ankle. Mine was foot, but really it applies to any injury. Hope it heals quickly. Tonight we are having turkey burgers. DS and i both like ground turkey better than ground beef so we should be good. There will be requisite salad, tomato, and broccoli I think.

We are just home from an evening at Oktoberfest. Wonderful night - we go with this group to this tent nearly every year and it is so much fun. Dinner was pretty typical Bavarian - Brotzeit Teller to start (cheeses, meats, radishes, pickles etc with different breads), followed by Flammkuchen (pastry-like base, with sour creme, spring onions and bacon - sort of a very thin crust pizza) and Kaiserschmarrn for deesert (shredded pancakes, served with apple sauce, apricot puree and plum puree). All washed down with copious quantities of prosecco! I love this time of year!

I have no idea what I'm eating tonight. DS has requested a pizza. I'm going to stop into the little grocery near my house and see what looks good to me. I do know there will be wine with my dinner. I'm more looking forward to the wine than the food. hop2, I'm so sorry about your ankle. Hugs.

Waiting for radiologists report too. Fingers crossed I can go back to work! This sucks. I’ll take all the healing thoughts and prayers you all have thank you!

I have tried what would you like for dinner and do you want anything special tonight? I get the "I'm not sure" often. Sometimes he gives me a list of what he doesn't want to eat.

We had a productive day today; had a hair appointment and after that we stopped at CVS to get our flu shots. Safeway had lobster tails on sale so we stopped and picked some of them up while we were out. I decided to get brave and try steaming them in the Instant Pot. Lobster dipped in homemade ghee sounds like a winner to me! I hope they turn out okay.

I will make an appointment on the 15th or so or when the doctors have a clinic. My GP does them herself as do most GPs in the province. It's easy money for her. She is also very, very good.
