It's perfect, and you look adorable. I like the little sweater and the shoes in that photo better than the wrap and shoes in the other photo. Exactly what she said! It’s a great dress for you!

You look great! I like the bolero better because you see more of the dress!

I think the dress is great; you look great in it. For the type of event, I prefer the wrap. Congrats to your daughter & your family

Won't you wear a tallis in shul?

The dress looks fantastic on you. The length is great. I think it would be lovely with the wrap for the ceremony. I would wear that dress, and I'm close to 60!

Won't you wear a tallis in shul? No, I prefer not to and it isn't required. My dd has to but she doesn't want to. My dad offered her his to wear and that made her excited so that's what she's doing. His is a smaller size, white with water colours and it looked cute on her. I'd rather wear a sweater.

Thx everyone . You've made me feel less worried about the style! i definitely like the lighter / open looking shoes but wonder if I'll be happier in a sexy pair of pumps. Pointed toe, open side, thin heel. Depends on the whether that day I guess. I don't know about panty hose with open toe. I might bring both cover options on the day of. If I'm cold I'm miserable. Always good to have options. I'm hoping that if it's my event I'll be warmer because I'll be busy but that is wishful thinking. I'm always cold.

It’s really cute on. I’d do the shoes in the first pic and the wrap. The wrap looks dressier for the ceremony, i think. I’d probably ditch it for the party. The sweater is cute but makes the whole look more casual imo.

It looked beautiful with her dress. She was very proud of hers. Must be a personal choice. Are you having dancing in the shul? The rabbi and family were dancing in the shul for her bat mitzvah. It was a ton of fun! All her teachers were there and us (her brother is my "other" son) and it was a party that started at 10 am and ended at 11 pm. Are you doing a kiddush lunch as well?

We showed dd beaded versions and she said don't buy one because she doesn't want to wear it again. So my dad's was a good option. Yes, dancing at shul. Dd is reading at the evening service, then havdallah, then dinner/dance.

Here from what I have heard and read is that most bar/bat mitzvahs happen in the morning, lunch and then a party in the evening or afternoon like Ari's. He had his at a pool hall. DS and my dad went to that and they had a great time. His sister's was a dinner/dance at a country club and it was so beautiful! I remember how pretty she looked and how good the food was!

I'm 30 pounds overweight and would look terrible in that dress. I'm 10 years older than you and if I could wear that dress, I would - so I think it's entirely age appropriate. Rock it, mama!

You look a-mazing in the dress - go for it! I preferred the bolero to the wrap, and I especially loved the first pair of shoes. If I may ask, where did you get those shoes?

thats funny - from the picture of the dress I would have said way to young for anyone over mid 30s, but seeing it on you - WOW - you make it look fabulous and not too young at all.

Those aren't my shoes. The sales associate brought them to me for dress trying purposes. I was on vacation and didn't want to bring home shoes. I liked th shoes but wasn't sure for with the dress. They were part of the summer clearance at Bloomingdales.
