I haven't participated yet not because I haven't wanted to but because I don't have a lot of extra time and I want to make sure I'm able to make enough cards and to be able to follow through. I would love though!

I would love though! I decided I will make some and buy some. I just think it would be fun! I'm trying to make a couple cards each evening. Very simple card, diecut Christmas lights and a stamped saying on a matted background.

Me!!!
Last year was my first year to participate. I think I sent around 80 cards out and received probably about that many. It was so much fun to go to the mail box each day - starting in early December through early January I got at least 1 card a day.
My preparation to date has been thinking about designs and, of course, buying some new things. I'm going to shoot for 25 designs and plan on a dozen cards per design. Six of each design will go to the Caring Hearts Card Drive, 2 will go to the local nursing home and 4 for the 2Peas card exchange.
October 1 means stop thinking and start doing!

I did 20 so far. Am getting bored with doing the same card over and over so I'm on Pinterest looking for another simple (easy) card! 😂

I’m thinking about it. Overall, I’m the grinch of the family. I’ve tried to work on finding my Christmas spirit over the past few years. I think this might help me do just that this year.

I've participated the last few years. I send to everyone and usually receive about 80+ cards. I make simple cards and maybe 4 different designs(i get bored too making the same thing over and over). I like to use cut apart sheets for some cards since they just need a little embellishment and done. I start Nov 1st and mail out Dec 1st. It's always a flurry of card making in November. I always say Im going to start earlier and never do. Procrastination you are my muse.

I've thought about it too. I'd love to take part, but reality tells me I'd never manage to make enough cards. Then there are all the envelopes etc.. I'd only need a bad weekend of pain like I've experienced this last couple of days and it would all go to pot!

This will be my 4th yr (I think). The first year I sent purchased cards. The next, I sent mostly purchased, but did make some. I sent to all, about 120 or so, and received about 80. That’s a lot of cards! I highly recommend participating. If you love sending cards or making cards or if you need a cheerful “lift” at that time of the year, it’s wonderful! We used to receive so many holiday cards. I loved it. But over the years, the number has dwindled for various reasons: friends and family have passed away, some move away and addresses are lost, just losing touch in general. Plus (I confess), I’m kind of disappointed that so many have transitioned to send E-greetings and cards. I love getting cards in the mail and displaying them for the whole season. I’m old fashioned like that. Right now I have grand plans to make as many as I can. I need to find some simple designs. I hope to start on them the first of October. If you are worried about being able to make cards, the majority of cards I’ve received are purchased. I’m always amazed that I’ve never received any duplicates! How fun is that!?! Addressing a lot of cards is a challenge for many of us. Please don’t feel you need to send to all. Do what you are able. Also, usually some lovely RefuPea will volunteer to make the list available in label form. Cut them apart and tape or glue your address labels. I bought a rubber stamp to “sign” my name if have to because I have severe tendinitis in my hands. (There are days I can hardly use my right hand without crippling pain. ) We all know International mailing can be costly. Some members will mail to everyone. Some will set limits according to their abilities, time and budgets. It all good. I can’t wait to get started and look forward to receiving holiday happy mail in the coming months!

I am still considering it. Didn't join last year b/c the sheer NUMBER of people on the list intimidated me. I make and send out about 75 cards per year to friends and family, and this would raise that number to 200. I have a busy October ahead, so couldn't start on these until November. Although I have made a start on Christmas card making this year (total of 24 from last weekend's class alone) plus others I made with supplies I had out for our Ten 4 Ten Christmas in July exchange. And I need to count how many Christmas cards I have left over from previous years. B/c I enclose Christmas letters in the majority of my family and friends cards, I don't use a lot of cards smaller than 5x7, so when I have attended a SU! or CTMH card class I have done so to get ideas, but often don't end up sending out those cards. And from these sources I have also collected but not assembled a few card kits over the years, so that cuts down on the work involved in creating a card... Like Restless Spirit has said, I love giving and receiving Christmas cards, and the numbers are dwindling. And those 10-4-10 cards were GORGEOUS! What an inspiration! Okay: off to count my inventory!

I wasn't going to participate this year because of how busy my kids are and the complaining that my now DH did when I had everything spread out on the living room floor. Wouldn't you know, I mentioned last night how I was going to bow out this year and he had the nerve to say, "Well, I guess we're not going to have any traditions in this house." I was all Needless to say, I'm going to participate because I now know that he secretly loves getting all of the great cards in the mail every year. Silly guy

OK. I am back. After going through my inventory or completed cards from this year and years before, I already have over 100 cards ready to mail! Add in the card fronts and card kits, plus the new product I have and want to play with, 200 cards is not an out of this world goal.
So I am IN!!! Will sign up when that opens. October 1st, right?

This is the first year that I will participate. I'm a little intimidated by the sheer number of cards, but I think that if I buy some and make some, it will be ok. I love Christmas and it will make it even more cheerful to receive some more mail! BTW, internationals, I will definitely send to you- most of my family is in Europe, so I already have tons of those special stamps!

What is this card exchange that everyone is talking about and how do I sign up? How does it work? I open the sign up in October for about a week or two. During that time you send me your P name, regular name and mailing address. I then gather all the sign ups and email them to everyone that signed up. Then you either make or buy Cards Christmas cards and mail them to people from the list. Peas start sending them around Thanksgiving, I've gotten some the week before Thanksgiving but most start showing up after Thanksgiving. A lot of us do the whole list, some do you have to list and others pick and choose from the list. Cards can be homemade, store bought or anything you want the point of it is to have fun and spread some joy for the holidays.

I'm signing up! Last year was the first year I did and it was so much fun receiving cards everyday. As much as I loved receiving the cards, I loved seeing where the cards came from and all the different postage stamps as well.
I just have to remember to take it easy on the embellishments, I love to embellish everything. I ordered some Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn stamps, so I can make plenty of cards. Lawn Fawn had this really cool shadow box die that collapses into a regular sized card. I ordered it from Simon Says, can't wait to make those and send out. I'm going to try to finish making all my cards by the end of November. Hopefully I don't get too carried away because I can spend over an hour perfecting a card. I'm going to try picking a couple designs and doing them in batches. Or I can send really intricate cards and some simple cards if I don't have enough time.
Most of my real life friends don't do holiday cards, so I am super excited to get mail.
