I am trying to draw this simple label shape in Silhouette Studio. (Shape on left). If you zoom in, you can see that the lines do not touch at the tip. Side note: I'm an architect and so everything has to be straight and exact when I do stuff like this So I drew 3 lines (so they could be a precise measurement) and mirrored that, and aligned them, but then they don't connect at the tip. (See shapes on the right for my process) Yeah, I can cut it with scissors, but it seems like there should be a way to do it in Studio. I know I can edit points, but then it might be off center. I'm used to drawing in Autocad where there is a command to join those two lines. I am fully aware that my architect fussiness is slowing me down here. No question about it But can someone help me connect those two lines, or even better, tell me an easier way to draw this from the beginning? I do much harder stuff than this on the Cameo , but simple stuff is tripping me up and that drives me nuts! Sorry the quality isn't great.

Try the Draw a Polygon Tool - the one with the straight edges. I did one in a few seconds and used snap to grid to make sure lines were straight.

jenrSnap to grid rocks. There's also an auto-function built into Point Editing to connect end points. You zoom in so you can see your points really clearly, end points are red, I think? Click on an end point and your mouse will change from the little "talk to the hand" icon to a black arrow, and you drag that towards the other end point. At some point the auto-function kicks in and joins them for you. Sometimes it seems a little finicky to me, but it mostly works, and that'll let you join curved shapes so you aren't limited to polygons. Good Luck!

Another tip. Try holding down the shift key when drawing a line. The line will be at the nearest large angle.
