I'm thinking of getting a Fuse. My reasoning? I like to mix sizes of pages in my scrapbooks so I thought I could make my own page protectors. My hesitation? I have a closet full of "oh, that would be so handy" products..... (come on ladies, you know what I'm talking about! ) So, who has the Fuse and who has actually used it?

I am a tool junkie like that, too-- and I finally broke down and bought a Fuse. I've used it a few times, but don't scrap *seriously* very often. I HAVE used it to make some fun mini-pocket-pages, like a 2.5 x 3.5 inch page protector with 9 individual pockets in. It was seriously CUUUTE! I made those for a swap, but it would be really cute to do something like that, or shaped shaker pockets with sequins, etc. inside for a page embellishment.
I do make *odd* sized SB pages, though, so I thought it was a good deal (with a 40% off coupon) because I'd rather use the Fuse for those few odd-sized pages than using my sewing machine.
I also want to try to fuse small pockets on *top* of a page protector to make my own flip-flap sort of page. Not sure if that one will work, but I have a ton of page protectors, so I can sacrifice a few for the cause.

I love mine. It gets used a lot in my December Daily album. I also use it a lot for shaker cards.

I felt the same way when I bought mine- I saw a world of possibilities! But I almost never use it now because it takes too long to heat up. If I need to change a page configuration or close a shaker pocket, I use my sewing machine instead. The fuse is a handy tool, but it can be a PITA to use. It's pretty cheap, though, so you should go for it if you think you'll use it!

maybe it depends on your setup, too- My sewing machine lives inside a cabinet and I hardly ever get it out of there to use it. The fuse tool is a lot smaller, and can be pulled out a lot easier to use. (it's remembering I have it that's the issue for me!)

I don't use it as much as I could, but I still don't regret it. Handy for making odd size protectors like 3x8 or being able to convert a (2) 4x6 into (2) 3x4 & (1) 4x6, shaker style pockets, and my favorite- flips. I don't use it more because of the 2 & 4 year olds that are often in the room when I work on my spreads.

I have a Fuse - had it since they first came out. The only time I have used it is when I was making some page protectors for my sons Eagle Scout album. I used it three times then, otherwise, never used.

I have one, and I've used it a good number of times in my Project Life albums. I customize the page protectors to fit my layout, and I love it! I'm going to try using it to make shaker cards for Christmas this year.

I have a fuse tool and like most other posters, I do not use it often, but I am sure glad I have it when I want to.

I have a fuse tool and like most other posters, I do not use it often, but I am sure glad I have it when I want to. Exactly this. I use mine mostly for sealing up pockets. I have some older page protectors with long openings (maybe 2" x 12") and without sealing the edge the paper tends to slide out of the pocket when I flip the page. Sealing the paper inside fixes the problem and the fuse does a great job. I am always thrilled with the results when I use it. I tend to live with my pages for a bit, make sure that I don't want to change anything, note if there is anything that wants to slip out of the pocket and then do a batch at a time sealing everything that needs it. I use mine every couple of weeks. It's a great tool for turning pocket pages into shaker pockets.
I bought some clearance fuse paper and ribbon stuff I need to play with.

I don't have a Fuse, I have the Walnut Hollow Creative Versa Tool with variable temperature control. BUT I have the Fuse tips and the Fuse silicone mat with holster. I just used the mat on Saturday, love it! Not something I need all the time but when I need it, I NEED it! I like mine better because it is several tools in one and that included "being" a Fuse.

I got "enabled" into the whole Fuse hoopla on HSN. I made the Christmas cards that came with the kit, but have not used a whole lot of the other stuff - there are like 6 different rolling tips - I've used 2. & the paper is weird to the touch. I do use both of the rulers that came with it. But I use my Fuse tool a lot for custom sized pocket pages , shaker cards & ATC holders. I keep a soup can full of gravel/ rocks to set it in while I am using it to make sure I don't burn something. It does take awhile to warm up.

I use mine for shaker pockets. I actually like FUSE/AE stamp pockets shakers better than just using foam tape. I don't know maybe I always get the bad foam tape, but I've had it not stick properly and had a sneeze of sequins all over.

Sealing the paper inside fixes the problem and the fuse does a great job. that's a great idea; thank you! I have a few WRMK page protectors that have that 2x12 space, and the only thing I could do with them is put a bit of washi tape along the edge... but using the Fuse is a better idea.

I bought the Fuse out of necessity, not as a I-could-see-myself-having-fun-with-this tool. I needed to fuse cut down PP to have all 3x4 pockets for my 6x12 albums. I've since had a lot of fun using it to make small page protectors for mini albums. I didn't realise how much it would add to my layering technique. I wouldn't do this type of layering in any big albums but for the mini format, it's so much fun!
However, keep in mind that: 1. it takes a long time to heat up properly (at least 20 minutes) so you'll probably want to work in batches (don't count on it for spontaneous fun too much) 2. I highly recommend using it with the Fuse mat (that has a holster) as it works much better this way (meaning your initial investment is more significant) 3. you'll probably reach for it more often if you are using different formats of albums (including small) as that will multiply the different usages you can make for it

Another one who doesn't use it that much. I probably use it more for things like DD and shaker pockets. It does take a long time to heat up and I have a sewing machine as well so I don't find myself reaching for it on a regular basis.

SaveSaveThat is a good use of the Fuse. I usually add a couple staples, but I don't love that solution. I'm thinking it would be handy to make an open top pocket within my 12 x 12 page for brochures and programs that I might want to take out later.

Hello, my name is Pherena and I'm so easily influenced it's embarrassing. I saw several Fuse projects on Pinterest and thought they'd be just perfect for my DD album. Soooo, after reading this post, and despite my better judgment, ordered the whole shebang this afternoon. I'm just not right.

I have a wood burning wand for cutting ribbon when making hair bows and a hot fix tool for adding bling to projects. It would be convenient to have a universal tool.
