I only work out a couple of days a week, but stopped wearing my wedding ring regularly about 2 years ago for this reason. I don't like the idea of leaving it in my gym bag because I forget to put it back on. I've been debating on one of these for a while now.

I opened the thread to see what new piece of fitness equipment was out that I was not familiar with. Lol. I guess I don't weighlift hard enough to need a rubbery ring. I've always just worn my "real" rings. I wear them to clean house. I've painted a room in them. I go in the ocean wearing them. Maybe I just like to live dangerously. Haha! I wear mine to lay tile, make breads, whatever. The only reason I ever take my rings off is if I'm wake boarding or waterskiing and it's only so I don't lose them in the lake! My wedding/engagement rings are platinum and are SUPER scratched up. Don't care. They're my rings, they're part of me. I also don't take off my heirloom diamond/white gold ring or my promise ring with a diamond and blue zircon. I've actually run over my engagement ring with a pickup truck fully loaded down with tile. Had to get the prongs straightened but it's holding strong. Hell, DH wore his platinum band (that matches mine) in Hawaii and it slid off his finger as he was getting out of the water after our last snorkeling trip before heading home. Now, he has a sterling silver band. We call it his "training band" LOL

Now, he has a sterling silver band. We call it his "training band" LOL We just replaced my wedding set with a new ring, when I shrunk out of my original. I only wear the original on special occasions on my pointer finger on my right hand. We spent a lot more on the replacement, and I'm not willing to let it get all beat up. I want to keep it nice, hence the silicone bands. When we work out at 8:30AM on Sat., it may be 4-5 hours before we are back home, due to running around, afterwards. I don't want to carry my wedding ring in my purse, just in case I leave it somewhere, or something, and I like having something on my finger while being out. I think it was a good compromise.
