Sooo jerry jones and team kneeled before the anthem... and then linked arms during... sooo what does that mean??? Are they protesting or in unity of the protesters or in unity against Trump or together for racial equality???

They’re trying to please everyone and will end up pleasing no one, is my bet.

Does anyone know if all the Cowboys stood? I know that at least some of them stood, but they never gave us a shot of the whole Dallas sideline during the anthem itself - just the whole Cardinals team and focused carefully on a few standing Cowboy players (ZEKE!) and Jerry Jones. It made me wonder if some players didn’t stand.
I honestly have no idea, and am not implying one thing or the other - just wondering out loud, since we didn’t get a shot of their whole sideline during the anthem.

I'm not watching the game, because I don't football, so I don't know what they showed on TV, but local news outlets are reporting that they all stood and every still picture I have seen shows the whole team in a line, all standing. And LOTS of pics are in my newsfeed right now (eyeroll).

This article link expresses how the owner, coach and some players feel. ETA disregard, the pic in the post above speaks for itself.

Yes the kneeled together arms linked before the anthem and color guard. Then both Cardinals and Cowboy players and coaches stood for the anthem. There are also loads of jerseys in the stands in Cardinal stadium wearing #40 for former teammate and soldier who died while serving, Pat Tillman. This is a happy comprise. I am totally okay with what the Cowboys did tonight. I know some were not to because Jerry Jones had had strong statements about players standing for the anthem. So they feel like he caved to the pressure. But I think this was a good idea. It will probably recieve mixed opinions.

I liked it. They stood (or rather knelt) with the nfl and they respected the flag.

The fact they were booed taking a knee outside of when the anthem was being played makes it pretty clear patriotism isn't actually the issue.

This is no longer about racial inequality or the flag or the anthem or the military. I think any message intended is getting lost in the spectacle and Trump.

Agreed. trump has hijacked the entire reason for the protest. And diverted attention from a metric shit-ton of other things happening in his backwards corrupt administration.
