The edit playlist button has disappeared from iTunes on my laptop. I did get a new phone- does that have anything to do with it? If I create a new playlist, it still doesn't give me the option of editing so I can't add songs to it. I want to be able to do this on laptop. Help!

Left side of the window.... Top: Music Songs: Click/Drag/Drop into playlist you've created.
I think this is what you mean.

I always had an edit playlist button on the playlist. It would narrow the playlist and move it to left side of screen so I could drag and drop from the song list. Now I figured out that I can right click on the song and it gives me the option of adding to a playlist. Weird.

There aren't buttons for this.
Click on a song to "get ahold of it" Drag it to the playlist that you want it in. Drop it into the playlist.
