I am being told I need this quickly. I don't have glaucoma but apparently my angle in my eye is very narrow and is now at a dangerous level. Does anyone want to share their experience? I am nervous.

I don't have experience, but I wanted to offer you some support and my thoughts that surgery is easy and your problem is quickly fixed. I can tell you that people I know that have had ocular surger say it's super easy and sounds much worse than it is.

I’ve not had that surgery but have had three surgeries on my eye following a traumatic injury. I had a ruptured globe, a detached retina and band kerotopothy. Eye surgery recovery wasn’t bad at all. Be sure to use any and all drops prescribed for as long as they’re prescribed. I wish you well!

Yes, I had the surgery. I was very nervous but the surgery was very quick and painless with no recovery actually. I did have someone drive me home. No drops or anything needed afterwards. Good luck and glad it was caught in time.

Yes, I had this surgery in 2015. Although there are different surgeries that you can have for this, exactly what they do depends on how bad the situation is. If you want to PM me, I am happy to answer any questions that you might have.

Thank you for the reassurance Kelleem!
Airforcemomof1 and Scrapbrat, did you end up with a line in your vision? I keep reading that this is a real possibility although the doctor did not seem concerned when I questioned him about it.
Thank you Gailoh! I sure hope your numbers go down and you don't have to do anything! I am glad treatment is available now as well but I still don't like the treatment. LOL! I am the worst patient ever.

I had laser surgery for this a couple years ago. I had both eyes done several days apart. The worst part was the gel they put into my eye and how it made my vision blurry for a couple hours afterward.
The procedure itself was completely painless. I don't recall having to use any eye drops afterwards.
I do see a slight shadow at the bottom of my field of vision when I am outside in bright sunlight without my sunglasses or regular glasses but I have to look for it. It really doesn't bother me.

Wasil, I totally agree with you on the gel. They put some gel in my eye yesterday for some reason and it was so gross. It made my eye feel like it was oozing. Yuck. I wonder if it is going to be the same stuff for the surgery? I guess I will find out.
Thank you Gailoh!!
Airforcemomof1, Thank you. That makes me feel better.
Thank you for all the input! it is really helpful and has helped me calm a bit. The first eye is on Wednesday.
