What are your favorite pens to use on your scrapbook pages? I currently am using a set of Zig pens- probably 18 that came in a set of different colors. One side is very thin, the opposite side is a little thicker.
I love them and they have served me well, but swear to god, I have had this set for ~15 years. No joke. I feel like they're starting to fade a bit.
What should I get to replace? I glanced at Michael's and did not see any Zig pens anywhere. I wouldn't trust the Recollections brand for a supply as important as this.
Would love everyone's 2 cents! Thanks!

My favorite pens are Marvy Le Pen. I especially love that they don't smear. And they are very affordable!

Lol, I'm still using my Zig pens. Most of them are still going strong after nearly 20 years. I have purchased some Distress markers, which are similar.

I love my Zig pens, too. I'm also a quilter and use them on quilt labels. I've got Marvys that I used years ago, but only for stamping. They were very good at that time for that. I just bought Ali Edward's precision pen #3 from her website but obviously won't get it until the whole DD box ships. I'm interested to see how that stands up to Zigs.

Muji! You can order them from their store or find them on amazon. We have an actual "Muji" store in Toronto that is so much fun to wander around. The pens are awesome for journaling and come in a nice array of colours and some widths.

I'm another one who has an older set. Granted I don't use them that often but in 20 years they haven't dried out. Since I'm starting to do more stamping I'll probably be using up what's left so I'll be looking for something new. Thanks for the tips.

This is my go to pen too. Mine as well, I have several colors and I love that I can write on any surface(tags, die cuts) and they won't smudge

I have to say that I also still love my American Crafts Slick Writers. Between those and my Sharpies that's all I use.

I have two favorites - the Uniball Signo pens for a medium point and the Ink Joy pens for fine point.

I love the Staedler Lumocolor permanent marker. I prefer the fine or superfine tip. I haven't used any other pen to journal on paper or photos since I got this pen in one of my SC kits. Everyone was upset about getting a pen instead of an embellishment but I was glad bc it was how I was introduced to this pen (finally, something to thank SC for). The AC Slick Writer used to be my go-to but this writes smoother on photos and the smell doesn't bother me as much as Sharpies do. I still love my Uniball for white ink on photos and paper. For everyday writing, OMG, those Papermate Inkjoy gel (0.7 tip) pens are addictingly smoothe; they are all I use at work now but they are not permanent so not as versatile for us memory keepers who like to write on photos.

For colored pens I love the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pens. I bought this set in July 2015 and still love them. For black, I adore the Faber-Castell Artist Pens. These pens have different tip sizes. I like the brush tip for signing the back of my scrapbook pages.

My current favorite is the Faber-Castell PITT artist pens. I got a set of the black, which has xs, s, med, and brush tip pens, from my DD when I got into mixed media. I love them so much I use them for all of my papercrafting not just mixed media stuff. The only white pen I've ever used is the Inkssentials.

For most stuff I use a black Uni-ball Rollerball Micro Point. They are cheap, archival and write well for me. Otherwise, I use fountain pens!

I go with my extra fine sharpie for a porous paper, but if it has any type of finish I always smudge the dang thing, so I use the faber castell's on slick or finished surfaces.

These pens have different tip sizes. I like the brush tip for signing the back of my scrapbook pages. The Staedtler Triplus Fineliners are what I use in my scrappy journal too. The big set is missing some colors I find myself needing though like a dark teal; I supplement from my Pilot Juice gel pens for those. I do have a Marvy LePen in gray that I like too.
