I got my first kit today, I'm in love! But how do I cut apart the dies? I've never used them before and have no idea, haha! However my Big Shot also arrived today. It's going to be a fun weekend! Fine tipped wire nippers (jewelry department of your big boxes w/coupon) work best for me. I try to cut mine really close to the metal so the little metal bits don't prick my fingers constantly. I'm not the most coordinated, so sometimes I'll take a file to the little pokey parts I can't trim close, and I usually hold mine inside my trash can so the little bits don't fly all over, and because I've sent more than one die flying across the room when I've lost my grip. Good luck!

I got mine today and I have mixed feeling about the kit. I'm not loving the small stamps either but I think I need to play. I'm thinking of not cutting apart my dies because I don't want to lose them but I haven't decided yet.

I'm still on the fence about this one. I opened it last night and I don't think I love tiny little stamps. I feel like they're too small for cards. Make tags with them? That is my plan.

I watched a video for a similar stamp set (Vicki Papaioannou with MFT snowglobe dies), and she left all of the little pieces connected in groups. Looks like a good idea to me.

On second thought, it might be more difficult to stamp then die cut if the dies are connected. Hmmm, I'll have to play around with it when I get mine, hopefully tomorrow!

Mine came today. I'll put the dies on a 5 x 7 piece of magnetic vent cover and then pop them in a Avery Elle's (?) clear envelope. I'll put the stamps on a stamp sheet and do the same with the envelope.

I finally got notice that they are finally shipping my add ons. Super fast delivery of the card kit but slow like molasses getting the add ons. I've been so busy to call them about why it hasn't been shopped yet.

My kit STILL says unfulfilled and I haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. I'm getting them later and later every month. Does anyone else have that problem or some insight into their shipping order? moraie, scrapaddict702, and everyone else who is upset by the slow shipping for subscribers, they hold onto the subscriber kits until Friday so you can shop for addons and get them included with your kit for free shipping. At least that's my understanding. Those that don't subscribe but just order are sent right away because they don't get free shipping.

I used to see them start on Thursday, but even then, it said Friday as the starting ship day.

My add ons will be here on Saturday. Shipping out yesterday. Too bad they didn't ship with the add ons together in the same box.

scrapaddict702 MDscrapaholicMy kit didn't mail until Wednesday. There were people that had their sub kits on Sunday, and mine didn't even mail until Wednesday, and every month it mails a day later than the month before. At this rate, by Christmas SSS will be shipping faster than my kit. I just think they need to re-examine their shipping practice so that no one person gets singled out for constantly late kits, because honestly it stinks. oaksongIf you have your dies in a couple of groups and use your stamp positioner, you can always treat them like they're solid, and cut a stamp guide of the cluster out of white cardstock and save it with your stamps. Then, you put your guide down, use it to position your stamps, stamp, and they're all lined up with the dies. There's a ton of links lately on how to do it, but I can look one up if you need it. Their dies are always clustered with dies inside of dies or things in groups, but I'm always so happy with how many dies I get that I'd never complain. galew turned me onto those vent covers, and it keeps them all together beautifully, no matter how small they are. I was going to look at those new Altenew pockets that zip close at the stop for the kit sets, though, just for a bit of extra security. I keep meaning to check the dimensions and see if they'd fit, and then forget.

Yay, my kit arrived today! I can't wait to ink the little images up!
I have a question though - how do you use the "thick lacquer pen"? Is it like Glossy Accents?

I've been having that problem as well with the kits. When I ordered my first kit last year I ordered it on Monday (release day) and it was in my grubby paws by Thursday of the same week. The last two kits I ordered (this one and the one from two months ago) I ordered on release day and it was just shy of two weeks before I got them.

I'm not subscriber, I buy as I see the ones I want and mine have been shipping out later. This last kit didn't ship until this past Monday. Also, for those who haven't had their add-on's included, dunno what's up with that because my add-on shipped with the kit.

I'm sorry for those of you who are still waiting for their kits to be shipped. I finally got mine today. It's so cute! (Did you hear my high-pitched squealy voice there?) As for the issue about the small dies, there are only a few that are really tiny, and they're attached to the middle of the larger dies, so everything will be cut apart. Thanks for the info anyway, moraie and everyone. I wish I knew it before I cut apart the teeny tombstone dies in my new TH Halloween set. Next time!
