Short back story. I have one friend I've had since I was 8. We r 43. Live in different states, but visit every few years. We have another friend we both met when 13. First friend has seen her since graduation from high school...i have not but kept in touch except for a random year or two here or there. Well this weekend the friend I haven't since in 24 years and I are meeting (in the state first friend lives in) and surprising her. Her oldest daughter us in on it and helping us plan.
Anyway..onw friends bday was last week, others is mid month. I wanted to do something for each, like a travel mug with a friend quote, keychain with a quote, etc...
Any ideas ?? I'm so excited!!!

I have two... Friends are family you pick for yourself and One loyal friend is worth ten thousand relatives. (Latin proverb). I don't have much for family, so I am partial to these friend quotes.

Make new friends, keep the old. One is silver and the others gold. A circles round it has no end that's how long I want to be your friend.
Diving back deep to my Girl Scout song knowledge.

I have loads of stamps with "friends" sentiments (can dig some out if you want more ideas) but my favorite at the moment is:
I'm glad we're friends ... there's so much less to explain.

I bought a friend a garden stone that said "It takes a long time to grow an old friend". You could add some flowers to the quote on a mug.
