There have been a few suggestions for this on the SC thread over that past 24 hours as we expect to see some more old SC'ers migrate over following the loss of the message boards there. I don't see one started yet.... so here we go!

3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often?
I am 95% doing pocket pages with an occasional mini-album thrown in for fun. I made my first layout in a decade at Story Camp this summer... it was fun, but just isn't for me at this stage in our family life.
4. What is your favorite product(s) to use?
I love a wonky heart, my wink of Stella marker, and my PM400
5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there?
I am drawn to designers like Ali, Geralyn, and Peppermint. My favorite CT person out there is still Nicole Reeves and am excited to see her working with KP's things and making the occasional appearance at SC still.
6. Are you "known" for cooking anything special?
I make really good biscuits and gravy which seems to be a lost art in my generation of friends. Same with mashed potatoes and fried chicken.
7. What is your favorite season?
Any of them except summer. I hate heat and humidity
8. Are you an animal person?
Yes... but I don't want them in my house.
9. Share a random fact about yourself...
I live on a working grain farm and grew up working in my family's hardware store. So I am pretty "handy" for a girl.
10. What are you thankful for today?
Healthy kids! I am totally going to jinx myself... but we are 2 months into the school year and non of my 3 kids have missed a day yet! It is nothing short of miraculous.

For the past few years it's been pocket pages and my Paper Pumpkin card kits (because I love packaged, fool-proof kits that are reasonably priced!)4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? I love stamps, washi tape and stickers. 5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I really love AE's style and love of storytelling. Cathy Zielske is awesome. I've always loved the inspiration to try new things that I get from Tim Holtz and Jennifer McGuire. Gluestickgirl is my favorite creative team designer...and Nancy Damiano...and Stephanie Howell...and Marcy Penner...Nicole Harper...so many of those who have been at SC inspire me.And for fun.... 6. Are you "known" for cooking anything special? I make awesome chili (if I do say so myself LOL!). My buffalo chicken dip is required at all family get togethers. 7. What is your favorite season? I'm just a traditional scrapper. I do like to include as many photos as possible in a layout. 4. What is your favorite product(s) to use?
Sadly, anything by October Afternoon, although I'm being stingy with what I have left and scrounging eBay and Etsy for more.

Not sure how to answer - I'm not as savvy on that as many of you.

I could burn water.

Winter, because I love Christmas so much!

Absolutely. We have two mini schnauzers, Maggie and Dixie, both two years old. Love my fur babies.

I collect thimbles and own probably 750 of them - still unsure how many!

it has been a while since I have logged in but I have been reading the SC refugees post all along... 1. Care to share your real name and/or SC name? my name is Kelly and I honestly don't remember what my MB name was at SC though it was probably kellyv, same as here. on Instagram I am kelly_loves_paper so I might have been that as well. I stopped participating/shopping at SC about the time the mega-thread started and I have never looked back! 2. Where are you pea-ing from? Ontario, Canada 3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? DD (6x8 pocket pages) and TN; that is it though I used to do PL and traditional pages 4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? I mostly make cards now; I am on a real Concord & 9th kick at the moment. Love their stamps 5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? love Geralyn's simple style of PL. Love Cathy Z's wit and her simple style. Liz from Paislee Press. Where are you pea-ing from? I live on the mid east coast of US
What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? I am a theme scrapper and I rarely do a page that doesn't fit the theme of the photos or event
What is your favorite product(s) to use? My favorite product is theme paper and stickers, especially 3D stickers. I also love word stickers and letter stickers like thickers
Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I honestly don't know who designs what.
And for fun....
Are you "known" for cooking anything special? I am a terrible cook. I rarely cook, except for a simple Thanksgiving dinner. It is pretty much the only meal I cook every year. There are other things I can make or have made that came out good, but as a rule, I can't even boil macaroni
What is your favorite season? I like fall best, followed by summer and winter equally. I am not a fan of spring and where I live, we don't have much spring as it gets hot pretty quickly after winter.
Are you an animal person? I never was for most of my life, but then I got into house rabbit rescue and fostering, and for awhile had many little critters and birds. I had 2 dogs after that and now my son has a dog that lives with us and I enjoy her. I probably will not personally have any more pets though.
Share a random fact about yourself... Hmm I've shared a lot about myself but I'll go back to this one. I have a very large collection of vintage and antique Christmas ornaments and other stuff and I often put it on display at local venues. This year it will be at two local venues for the town's Christmas event
What are you thankful for today? I am thankful to have an extra day off this week so I can get some sewing commissions done once I get off this computer!

10. What are you thankful for today? 1) Angie- I was on the 2Peas board, but rarely visited after I started RN school and it closed down when I finally had time for hobbies again. I was never on SC. 2) Middle Tennessee 3) Traditional 12x12 scrapping is my favorite, but I also like mini albums, card making and a little PL. 4) My favorite product is paper. (And ink, scissors, paper cutters, stamps, die cutters, etc....I never met a craft item I didn't like!) 5) I do not have a favorite designer nor creative team. I like variety. 6) I cook a lot, but my chicken Scallopini is my most requested meal by my guys. I always double the recipe and they still argue over the leftovers. š 7) I like them all except for winter. Luckily it's not so bad where I live. I am ok with snow, just not the ice. 8) I love animals. We have a cat named Oreo and a German Shepherd named Athena. 9) I went to 27 different schools before I graduated from high school. All that moving around as a kid prepared me for the Navy wife life. I'm incredibly independent as a result. 10) I am crazy thankful for every opportunity that I accepted which led me where I am right now. I have a loving little family, a cozy home, a good job working with great people, and time to enjoy creative pursuits. ā¤ļø |

Where are you pea-ing from? The French Riviera, baby. Yes, it sounds fancy. No, my life isn't.  What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? Project Life and mini albums all the way. I like compact records of events and everyday life. I'm a terrible layout scrapbooker, never managed to get a hang of the 12x12 format either. What is your favorite product(s) to use? Photos, stamps, ink, white cardstock. I'm a basic girl who believes you don't need much to get going with life-documenting. Of course, that's not to say I don't like a nice set of alpha thickers, some tiny wood veneer, transparency sheets, etc.  Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? No one is really on my radar these days. I still love Kelly Purkey and Liz Tamanaha in terms of overall design but I'm mostly just enjoying my own little messy scrap creations these days. I think I've found my mojo and zone so I'm just cruising along. I'll start looking for exterior stimulus again when I ride this current wave of self-inspired creation out...
Are you "known" for cooking anything special? Erm, really nice salads? I'm not really known for spending hours in the kitchen and throwing fancy dinner parties. I've got my beloved recipes but they are select and few. Everyone seems to love my almond butter chocolate mousse-y cake and my spinach and broccio cannelloni. What is your favorite season? Late spring-early summer all the way. Long days, loads of sunshine, no rain, flowy dresses, sandals, vitamin D. Yum! Are you an animal person? Absolutely. I even like those funky little homo sapiens beasts despite all their current misanthropy-inducing efforts!  Share a random fact about yourself... I haven't slept with anyone from this board! 5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I don't know that I have a favorite, but I really like Nancy Daimino, probably butchered her last name though.

2. Where are you pea-ing from? Auckland, New Zealand.
3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? 9x12 layouts, some pocket pages and I also make cards.
4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? It varies. I sub to Cocoa Daisy SB kits right now and really love the products. I also have a stash of older SC kits and papers, plus a ton of stamps - mostly from PTI and Altenew but my new obsession is Lawn Fawn.
5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? Off the top of my head - Ashley Horton and Ali Edwards for scrapbooking, Jennifer McGuire and Debby Hughes for card making.
And for fun....
6. Are you "known" for cooking anything special? I'm probably best known among my friends for my home made preserves - grapefruit marmalade, tomato chutney and crabapple jellies.
7. What is your favorite season? Summer - even with the humidity we get in Auckland.
8. Are you an animal person? Yes definitely. We always had cats, dogs and guinea pigs growing up. Right now I have a sweet cat - a former stray who adopted me a few years ago.

I'm not very good at anonymity. 2. Where are you pea-ing from? Pacific NW, USA, west of Seattle (but I'm originally from Auckland, NZ) 3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? I keep memories on Instagram, in photo books and in my hobonichi journal. I used to do PL but I had too many words so I switched to a journal that I could stick photos into. I'm a diarist rather than a journaler or planner though. I make cards for fun and also sell them on etsy as Olive May Cards. 4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? I like Doodlebug designs for card-making, washi tape and 3M photo paper for my journal. I don't buy too much. 5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I follow Brandi Kincaid and Elise from Feed Your Craft (lovely ladies), I love watching Shimelle's videos even though I don't do what she does (she's taught me how to commit and make it work, sometimes at least). I follow some creative journaling and card making people on YouTube - Kristy Marcotte, Jess Crafts, Jackie Q, Vicki P, Justine Hovey. And for fun.... 6. Are you "known" for cooking anything special? My Anzac biscuits (oat cookies) are pretty popular with my American friends. 7. What is your favorite season? I like sunshine and bright light so our PNW grey drab-y winters get me down, especially because the light is terrible for photography. Spring and summer and the (rare) sunny days of fall. 8. Are you an animal person? I love puppy snuggles and I miss petting kitties (I'm allergic). I talk to animals when I walk past them in the street (pups, cats, squirrels, birds, etc). I'm trying to make friends with neighborhood crows and scrub jays (with peanuts, which I hate). I'm not a big animal person compared to some people I know, but they might just be really huge animal people. 9. Share a random fact about yourself... What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often?
I do 12 x 12" multi photo pages, usually two at a time. I scrap my dgk's. These are traditional pages--have never had much success with digi, nor enjoyed it very much.
What is your favorite product(s) to use?
Most of my pages start with cardstock. I have been using a lot of the Recollections shimmery cs lately. And almost every page has at least some patterned paper. I also use stickers for titles and sometimes for journaling and other elements.
Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there?
I really don't know a lot of designers on line or IRL. I have met Vicky Boutin (a very FUN lady, and I love her new art supplies) and Becky Fleck (very nice in person, and her sketches are always easy to follow) and I like that Stephen Duncan stops in here once in awhile to chat.
My favorite patterned papers are (in no particular order) BoBunny, Simple Stories, Echo Park, Carta Bella, Kaisercraft, Wind Whisper Designs, Authentique, Bella Blvd.

I bake Christmas cookies. I make a lot of large pot meals with garden produce: (lasagne, vegetable and beef soups, potato pancakes), and also desserts (pumpkin pies and loaves, zucchini chocolate cake),.
What is your favorite season?
We are lucky enough to have four seasons here, and I like different things about each. Fall is very short, so that is probably why I think it is my favorite: love the cooler temps, the colours, the comfort foods...
Are you an animal person?
Not so much. We have farm dogs and farm cats. I appreciate they are here and the jobs they do, but none of them live in my house.

I am a retired adult educator.
What are you thankful for today? I am thankful that the family is healthy and happy and that I don't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner this weekend--we are going to my niece's for that tomorrow. (My pumpkin pies just came out of the oven, and I am thankful for the aroma throughout the house!

1. Care to share your real name and/or SC name? I was never a sc member. Once upon a time I was gimme candy on peas but I lost that log in and came back as jeremysgirl like 6 years ago. My DH is Jeremy and he always says I'm his girl in his best Forrest Gump imitation.
2. Where are you pea-ing from? Lansing, Michigan
3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? I am a simple scrapper. Right now I am doing 8.5x11. I have done 12x12 in the past. I keep it simple.
4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? Honestly I just love using a lot of pattern paper.
5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I have returned to scrapping after 8 years away. I am really out of the loop on names.
And for fun....
6. Are you "known" for cooking anything special? I am known for my cheesecakes. I have probably 15-20 different recipes. Everyone raves about my cheesecakes.
7. What is your favorite season? Fall. I love it when it is around 50-60 degrees and sunny. I love breezy days when leaves are rustling
8. Are you an animal person? I am totally owned by one big baby of a pitbull, one adult cat, and one new little kitten
9. Share a random fact about yourself... I am an accountant. I recently finished my MBA in accounting and got a new job. I work with federal education grants

1. Care to share your real name and/or SC name? I was never on SC (and to be honest I only started buying once the $5 codes came into existence). I was on the original Two Peas with the same username. My real name is Karen.
2. Where are you pea-ing from? Melbourne, Australia
3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? 12x12 pages from my travels. I'm totally on a paper kick right now but I also do digi layouts.
4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? right now it's Felicity Jane enamel hearts from one of the recent kits, enamel dots, word strips, and the occasional old supply
5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I love Shimelle's teaching style and feel I've learned a lot from her and I'm definitely influenced by Kelly Barron's layouts. I love looking at Nancy Damiano's work too.
And for fun....
6. Are you "known" for cooking anything special? I make a pretty good lemon meringue pie from scratch
7. What is your favorite season? late spring into early summer. We are just starting to get some warmer days and I'm loving it. Today is meant to get to 25 but it's already 19 and I've got the house open even though it's not quite 8am here.
8. Are you an animal person? Yes. I have two cats and love them both immensely. There's just something about soft furry faces and little kitty paws that melts my heart.
9. Share a random fact about yourself... I got married last year in Vegas. My now DH wanted a minister to marry us so we used the chapel's Elvis to walk me down the aisle and as our witness.

My Daddy thought it was fancy. 2. Where are you pea-ing from? Kansas 3. What is your favorite type of scrapping or what do you do most often? PL is my jam, but DD is my very favorite. I like minis and witl/ditl projects too. It's rare I do a 12x12, but I have to be in the mood. 4. What is your favorite product(s) to use? Real white cardstock, stamps, ink, and my photos is what I "need". I do love using a rainbow of colors though. 5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there? I make a pretty fantastic lemon, raspberry, and poppyseed cake. I have a plan to perfect kolaches one day though, I've yet to even try though...  7. What is your favorite season? Autumn and Winter. I do not like it when it's above 65 degrees usually. 8. Are you an animal person? I like some animals, but I'm not a fan of birds or other farm animals that some people seem in love with. 1. I was djuna in SC.
2. The lobby of barre class.
3. Themed vacation and holiday albums (usually I use a Handbook).
4. I love stamps.
5. Big Ali Edwards fan.
And for fun....
6. I don't cook. I do bake. Pumpkin bread is my favorite thing to cook.
7. Fall, hands down.
8. I like my own tiny humans. Animals generally, not so much.
9. In my fantasy life, I am a Broadway star.

Thanks to everyone so far for participating! I have learned a few new things even after being around here (and there) for several years! lasteve1 congrats on the wedding, I didn't know you are a newlywed kellyv I don't think I knew that you were also a farm wife. We are a few weeks into harvest here and I selfishly look forward to my "free" evenings to craft this time of year. myboysnme That is really neat about your ornament collection. Are they family heirlooms or something that you started collecting on your own? kaybree I think you are the first person I have ever known to be excited about turning 40! Happy early birthday! anniefb I am the only person in my family that likes grapefruit- so I am curious about grapefruit marmalade. myboysnme That is really neat about your ornament collection. Are they family heirlooms or something that you started collecting on your own? I started the collection trying to replace a family ornament that I broke. It exploded into hundreds of ornaments, and stuff like garland, Christmas cards, Gurley candles, putz houses and other 'Christmas past' items I picked up. I no longer add to the the collection and it is a big job putting it on display but they were all created to be seen and enjoyed. |

Mooresville, NC - a bit north of Charlotte.

12x12 is my favorite. I do PL but am very behind for 2017.
4. What is your favorite product(s) to use?
Nothing spectacular springs to mind. I love patterned paper, inking edges, and enamel dots. Super exciting stuff.
My favorite company is Basic Grey. Iāve amassed a collection of their paper. Still lines Iām searching for. I love any pages I end up with whenever I use their paper though.
5. Who are your favorite designers and/or creative team contributors out there?
Shimelle is the only name that comes to mind. I love her paper collections.

Fall. Temps are finally dropping! Recess and carpool duty doesnāt make me want to melt! Summer is a close second simply because Iām a teacher.

Yes. I do love animals. We recently got a puppy. I never in a million years saw myself as a ādog momā but heās my sweet boy.

I'm a traditional scrapper but venturing into the land of PL and card making

Basic Grey (sob) and I still love the shabby chic look even though it's dated

I don't know many but I enjoy following Jennifer McGuire and Tim Holtz

Any that don't include heat and humidity! Right now I'm not in love with Fall this year!

Grew up with lots of dogs and love them, but due to allergies the only pets we can have are a gerbil and a betta fish.

I have been a collector since I was a child, I LOVE to rummage through basements and attics looking for lost treasures.

My elderly aunt, whom I write to regularly. We have reconnected and helped each other through the loss of so many family members over a very short period of time. She is why I started making my own cards.
