Have you done this? If so, show us! Who's your inspo? Do you do a mini album? Tell me everything- I'm going to jump in this year for the first time!

Ha. My boys and I did this probably 5 or so years ago. Made a simple handmade album with chipboard and rings. Each day one of the boys was responsible for writing down what he was thankful for and then draw a photo. It was very elementary!

I did last year. Took 2 6x6 albums. I wrapped in Jan but only posted 16 days on IG because it took me so long to finish. I might post the rest this November. I really liked the project but I have spent a few months this year on specific projects (DD and organizational) that has kept getting me further and further behind in PL, so I won't be partaking this year. I had initially considered biannual albums anyway, so that is likely that I will stick with, but with a change: pre making diy embellishment clusters to keep the process easy to manage alongside my usual projects rather than an instead of.

I have taken Cathy Zielskis class a couple times and really enjoyed it... this year I am not going to participate because of other projects I have going on but I will probably do it again next year.

we did one on this board last year. I found a set of prompts on line, then posted one every day with a 6x8 page. Sometimes a photo, but most of the time journaling/art journaling. Quite a few people played along.
i can't seem to share photos of my book or its pages from my iPad. Will link a couple pics when I get home.

I'm doing it this year. I've had good intentions in past years, but it never got off the ground for me. I joined Cathy Zielske's FB group for this project and there's some good inspiration there and I'll follow along on her blog. She also released a digital kit for a 4x4 album that's cute, but I think I'm going to just use what I have already.

I am thinking about it. This appeals to me way more than the idea of a December daily. I need to find the right album and the right papers. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks for your input, everyone! (And gorgeous album, grammadee!) I picked up the Feed Your Craft kit and when it arrived, I went through my stash to bulk up my kit a little. Still thinking of how to do the album, but maybe I'll do a mini with just paper and binder rings. I might have a chipboard album sitting around in my room, so maybe I'll use that. I'm going to keep looking for inspo, I'll post here if I come across anything interesting!

I've done this as a single double page spread in my Project Life. Almost exclusively text - just a list of one thing I'm grateful for each day. I have a reminder go off on my phone to remind me. I did pick up a set of Thanksgiving PL cards and am planning to use those this year to give it a little more visual appeal, and try to add a few photos, but I'll still keep within my main album.

We do this as a family annually but I document it differently each year. Our favorite was in a snap album like GrammaDees with each day having a 3X4 card from each of us. Worked perfect! They were all just looking at it a few weeks ago actually when we put up Fall in the house.

I found this chipboard binder in my stash but I think I would like to re-cover it to make it a bit prettier. It came with dividers and different page protectors. It's kind of an odd size, with the pocket pages being 6x9 but I think I can work with that! Do any of you mixed media mavens have suggestions for how to cover this? ![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0SOX2gcybA8/WeYYtVF8pDI/AAAAAAAABwg/4kRnBhdJfkwW9eQajVe9WMGKewssVls1wCK4BGAYYCw/s320/IMG_8378.JPG) ![](http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e87Q4Zy1RDs/WeYYtp7e6tI/AAAAAAAABwo/7QSI5ysspNY2tnEVv1lmrGQM5mt1j2_MwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/IMG_8379.JPG)

Can't see the pictures, ellewood. When I cover a cb album I usually use mod podge and any combination of sb papers & embellishments I like or that go with the theme, one layer at a time, covering with wax paper and weighting down after each layer. I even stick down and seal thickers or diecut letters with mod podge.

That is a nice binder, and I can see all kinds of possibilities for it! I might ink it to hightlight the woodgrain, and leave a lot of it showing. Even if I were covering a lot of it up, I would still ink the edges that will show. If you want to apply cs or whatever over an embossed front like that, you need to back your papers on something a little more solid, or your papers will collapse into the debossed areas. When I need to do that, I use the cardboard backing from a paper pad, or the piece manufacturers insert into a paper pack to keep it from bending in shipment or display. (I save those cardboard backing pieces for this reason). Fill the area you are going to cover with embossing paste and smooth it over. Let it dry. Then apply the backing material with mod podge, and continue with the process as if THAT were the front of your book. Good luck with your 30 days project! I hope you share your book and your pages with us.

I did this project many years ago. I think I'm going to do it again this year.
It worked well to have the whole album prepped and then just write and add a picture as we went. Anyone in the family could think of the thing for the day-granted, it was mostly me, but there are several days that others added an item-or at least told me a good idea.

I love, love, love your cover page from last year grammadee! I'm staring to pull together things this weekend for my album. I'm going to an all-day crop next Saturday and I'd like to put it together so it's ready to go on Nov. 1.

Saw THIS in the Signals catalogue today and thought this would be a cool project for the 30 days of Thankful. I am sure many of you crafty ladies could create something like this for a Thanksgiving center piece

SO... On Oct 13 I posted to this thread that I was not doing it this year. On Oct 31 I am in a FOMO panic and decided I am doing it this year What I am going to do is this... I am going to pick 30 things, make 30 pages total, not 1 thing per day, in an app called Letter Glow using Cathy Zielskis 2017 brushes. I have started learning the app, and I am pretty into it, so I think this is a good match for my current interest. I am going to print them in 6x6 and post to instagram daily. At least, thats the plan

I'm jealous teacherlisa. You actually have a very good plan. It's end of year at work and my month just got completely away from me. I never ordered supplies. Good intentions...I think, though that I might keep this one in mind for next November. I would like to give it a try. Can't wait to see everyone's progress though.
