For all you Copic marker users. Do they ever go on sale on Black Friday or cyber Monday? I'm vacillating between which markers I want to get.

As far as I know, they don't. I think the manufacturer keeps pretty tight control over the pricing and the amount of discounting allowed. Dick Blick and oozak.com both sell the Sketch markers for $5.24 each all the time. That's 35% off list and I believe it's the deepest they are allowed to go.
They are an investment, for sure. It took me over 3 years to amass my collection and they are one of my favorite and most used crafty supplies.

When I happen to be at Michaels, but can't find anything to use the coupon on, I can always buy another Copic marker. I wouldn't make a special trip to do this, just if I happen to be nearby or buying something else that is already on sale. I have seen the Copics on sale once or twice at Michaels, too.
If you want to buy several colors, you could watch for a 20% off coupon good for your entire purchase.
I have not seen them go on sale for Black Friday, but they might, and it isn't that far away.
Oh, and once you start buying them, print off the sheet to keep in your purse that helps you keep track of which ones you own. Or take a photo of the markers with the number showing. If you start buying them, you will want to keep track of which ones you have so you don't buy duplicates. I have bought duplicates of 2 or 3 colors accidentally.

I think I'm just going to buy a whole set of ciao. Trying to figure out buying this color and that is driving me crazy. If I like them I'll get the other set for Christmas.

Scrapbookpal.com has the Sketch for $5.24 each also and they have free shipping after $25. They are very fast shippers.

Copic has an app, at least on iOS, where you can mark the ones you have and the ones you want. It's phenomenal.

I would also recommend purchasing the Sandy Allnock hex chart download. I use my hand colored version all the time for making color selections and the pre-colored one for figuring out where I need to add colors in my collection. Find it here: sandyallnock.com/product/hex-chart/

The only problem with the app (at least when I had it on my android phone) is that you can't backup your database. So if you switch phones you have to reenter all of the markers. I switched to the mymarkers app which can be backed up.
