We had dinner at a restaurant that was used to film Midnight in Paris. I had beef bourgingon and my dad had curried pork. I also got to order apple pie because he wanted a bite. I did not need dessert but when in Paris...
I am glad I bought comfortable clothing!

I am so sorry about your dad, Kellee. I remember when my mom was confused about who I was in her life. It is so hard to have this experience with our parents. Huge hugs to you.
Tonight DH is going to grill hamburgers and hotdogs. I was going to make ribs, have leftover rice, salad and leftover vegetables; but I got busy and didn't get a chance to prep them and put them in the oven.

Montannie I have been craving stuffed peppers. Unfortunately I am the only person in the house who will eat them. Have you tried freezing them? I was thinking I could make a bunch and freeze them for nights when I dine alone. I would probably make and freeze the stuffing and use fresh peppers. Reheating them from frozen tends to have a negative effect on the peppers themselves.

What book are you discussing tonight leannec? Our book this month is Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine ... I thought it was really good My Book Club is more of a ladies social night so we'll see if there are more ladies who have read it We have food and wine so that is all that matters

Hugs and prayers to all who need them. Tonight DH and I are going to the chiropractor and then Costco, so pray for us! It is getting to be the end of softball season, so we have been staying longer afterwards. This particular team has been around for almost 30 years (members have come and gone, of course!) and this current group is like one big family. I'm the only significant other who comes to the games regularly, so I have a very protective group of men around me at all times. LOL, you should see when a foul ball comes my way. Anyway, we are both exhausted today from being out late last night. DH is in a tournament tomorrow with some guys and we know a few others playing in another tournament. Both are close to home, so I will try to catch at least one game for each. Next week should be the final week, unless the team decides to attend a tournament in Ohio in November.

Most likely eggs for dinner here! I've worked more this week, DS#1 has a soccer game until 6 pm, DS#2 is headed to Webelo Woods with his Boy Scout troop. We have 9 chickens and right now about 2 1/2 dozen eggs. Time to eat a few and also process some to freeze for when they stop laying in the dead of winter! How do you freeze eggs? Gently blend whole eggs and pour into ice cube trays sprayed with oil spray. Freeze until solid then pop them out and store in zip lock bags. Thaw in the refrigerator before using. Works great for baking and for scrambled eggs. Fresh farm eggs are the best and I don't want to pay $5 / dozen for organic eggs that are not as high of quality as the ones my hens lay!

Thank you for your nice thought. I did take a mega nap. The appointment could lead to a very positive thing. Now my insurance company just has to cooperate this time. KelleeM, it's disconcerting when your elderly parent doesn't recognize you. I'm hoping it's just a temporary symptom from the fall. ((((HUGS)))). jeremysgirl, I'm sorry that your dh won't be home tonight. Did you go to Yoga on Wed or did you go out to dinner w/bf? I also never knew that you could freeze eggs. That's handy to know.

I went to yoga. I need some practice though. I felt like I was concentrating so hard that I was holding my breath. I need to practice relaxing.
