A few weeks ago I fell down a step, bruised my calf pretty bad and got a small sore on it. After about 2 weeks, the bruising was gone, but it was very red, swollen and warm. Found out I have cellulitis. The Dr. wrapped it and said I could use a TED sock if I wanted. Wrapping has been kind of working, but the area is on the lower part of my calf so it will slide down unless I have a full sock on to cover it anyway.
I have used them in the past with people I worked with, but I have never used them on myself. I know you can get them to look more like socks now. So here are my questions:
How long should I wear it during the day? How do I know when I won't need to wear it anymore? Do you just put a normal sock on the other foot? What do you do if you want to wear slip on type shoes where part of your foot will show?
Any other advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I think a lot of your questions should be answered by your doctor. But with that said, my daughter has to wear them daily all day long as well as other compression (spanx, etc.) per her doctor's orders. She wears these socks and has many in different colors: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JYUU344/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1She does not wear opened toed shoes where they would show so these work for her. Hope you feel better soon!
