I've already noticed commercials with lots of red in them thinking they could carry over easily into the holiday season.

My husband and I think that the commercial with Alicia Keys for Givenchy's Dahlia Divin Perfume looks like Christmas, or at least the holidays...she is in a beautiful gold dress.. Alicia Keys commercial

I was in an Oshkosh/Carters store this weekend and they already had their Christmas pajamas out! *shocked*

It'll happen before the end of September. I'll say the 20th. It will be Kmart or WalMart pushing their layaway program.

I heard a Christmas ad on the radio for a local jewelry store on Monday. It wasn't overt, but they were playing Santa Baby as the background music.

Hopefully not before the 1st of December (I can dream ) I was actually taken aback this afternoon to see a local store already stocking cards and wrapping paper.

A few years ago there was a study that showed when people start Christmas shopping early they tend to buy more. That's the reasoning behind these early ads.

I saw this Kmart ad today. It's kind of cute - tries to say it's NOT A CHRISTMAS advertisement, but they are promoting their layaway program for "something" that happens in December.

During Hallmarks Christmas in July week, they advertised all their new Christmas shows! So July 4th!

Seems like the first one I saw last year was the 2nd or 3rd week in September. I'd say some time in the next week or so
