I just don't care. My kids have been through six different elementary schools thanks to closures, magnet programs, and a move; they each handled Halloween differently, and there were plusses and minuses to each approach. I can't imagine getting sufficiently invested to start a campaign about it one way or the other.

I’d go with no Halloween in school at all camp. Not everything needs to be celebrated at school. Just my opinion....

I guess I am the odd one ecause I love when the kids get to dress for Halloween at school! My kids looked forward to it even thought they just had a one hour party. I was in charge of yearbook for many years, so my friend and I would walk around to all the parties and take pictures. The kids were so adorable and they had some very creative costumes. Some kids went all out, some just wore a hat, or their sports uniform. Some kids didn't dress, but they were all smiling having fun. I'm not really that into holidays, but I did enjoy the school Halloween parties. I will say that our school (k-6) had a great group of kids and they were really nice to each other. It was great to witness that with all the bad you hear about the way some kids act.

I've always wondered why they bother with the day after. It can't be productive, I wouldn't think. it absolutely can be productive. Maybe not as productive, but a good teacher has routines and expectations. Give the kids some time at the beginning of the day to talk about their night and then move on

I like school parties and I was the mom who helped out. I think it is a good way to teach social skills. My son had a teacher that taught them to make masks That they got to wear at the end of the day.
