Crazy question, but this is one of those things that drives me nuts that I don't have a good solution for. The outdoor hose is just hooked to the faucet and left on the ground under the deck. There have to be 2 of then attached there is so much hose scatter under there.
I like everything neat and organized. This drives me nuts and it gets used a lot. Think we had one of those windup things on the house at one point, but it didn't seem to get used or didn't work well. Is there a solution out there that works?

we have one of those 'wind up' hose reels for the backyard hose, and for one of the other ones, I bought a wrought-iron hose hanger similar to this one from walmart. The hose just loops and hangs; it keeps it off the ground. You can also buy hooks similar to this that you can screw into the side of the house, too.

My hose in the front is one of those curly hoses. I have a decent sized planter that I just toss it in when I am not using it. I have two on the back of the house and those two use the wind up cubes.

Get one of the square hose holders that look like a little table or bench. It can set next to your faucet connection or in a more convenient place. There's a handle to wind the hose back up after use.

There's a handle to wind the hose back up after use. We have one of these too. But it doesn't work if the person using the hose doesn't turn the handle. If you know certain people who use the hose the most won't put forth the effort maybe look in to those circular tubs that you just lay the hose in like you would in a tire.

I have one that looks like a little bench and when you flip the switch on the side of it, the water pressure begins turning the wheel inside to wind the hose up for you. It works well and I've never had a problem with it. The best thing for me is that it brings the hose forward to the edge of the porch where it is easier for me to use in the yard. I also bought one to use in the backyard, but haven't installed it yet.

Yeah part of the problem is with the winding up inside the container is sometimes the hose doesn't wind well....and it frustrates some people who then don't want to use it at all. Some interesting suggestions and products I hadn't seen. Will have to look further into some of them and see if I can't find a solution. Thanks!

I have one of those wind up things for the front yard and I hate it. The plastic is brittle from the sun & heat and the handle broke off. The other hose at the back is on our pool patio so I lay it flat in a circle and coil it around neatly and flat on the deck.
The pinterest inspired hose holder posted above is pretty but I have A LOT more hose than that and wonder if the arm would hold the weight.
