I followed the directions in DinCA's post about calibration. It was very helpful. However, no matter what, the cut seems to be off a bit. I gave it a modest border. It cut off a small amount of one side of the image, while leaving more border on the opposite side.
Is this typical?
Do I need to contact Silhouette? I am definitely not happy with the results I am getting.
I have been seriously considering getting the Brother Scan n Cut, but I noticed that in the videos shown, they had the same issue, although not quite as bad as the results I got with Silhouette Pixscan.

Thank you, anniefb!
It is going better, but the cut seems to be consistently off in the same way each time, with different stamped images. I calibrated the camera, but I have never calibrated the machine for print and cut, because I have not been particularly interested in doing print and cut until now.
I will follow the directions and see if that fixes the issue. I should have thought to check their website, but it never occurred to me.
Thank you so much!

Calibrating my machine for print and cut seemed to help get a good PixScan cut. I did the calibration then tried doing a print and cut file that I downloaded specifically for that purpose (although I do like the file). I got perfect results when cutting the print and cut file. When using the PixScan mat, I get almost perfect results. Perhaps the registration marks are just the tiniest bit off, but if I use the left arrow key to make one tiny nudge of each cut shape, it cuts perfectly. I probably don't need to even do the nudge, but I am a bit of a perfectionist.
I am very happy with the results now. I am even happier that I no longer feel the need to buy the Scan n Cut. Aside from the cost, I don't have space for another cutter, don't have time to learn how to use another machine, and besides, I love my Cameo. I love it even more now that it will cut out my stamped images.

That's great scrapnnana! I love using my Cameo to cut my stamped images. Saves buying all those coordinating dies!

That's great scrapnnana ! I love using my Cameo to cut my stamped images. Saves buying all those coordinating dies! I have a lot of stamp sets with coordinating dies, but I have difficulty getting them to line up and cut well. The results I got with my Cameo and PixScan mat are definitely better than when I have used coordinating dies.
