This is my favourite post of the day/week/ month. I have had a quick look now I am going back to really study them. When we travel I always look for the old trees.

Wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
I've seen at least one of those in person - the yews at Wakehurst Place, which is just a short drive from me (we had season tickets for a couple of years). Not sure about the rest, but one looks like it could maybe be the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest and another reminds me of the octopus tree at Cape Meares, so possibly I've seen three.

Those are gorgeous, though I wish they were identified! I wish they had been in color and labeled with the years taken from the same place. I found the filters difficult to focus on. I haven't had my eyes check in 40 years though and focusing is becoming an issue. They were pretty and artistic for sure.

Cool! We saw the bristlecone pines in Great Basin NP last month — the oldest of the oldsters!

The trees intertwined with buildings are amazing. I too wish the locations were mentioned and at least some of the photos shown in color.

I have a always had a thing for trees. I would consider purchasing the book if they were in color and identified as to their location. I'll have to investigate that.

I agree with you completely Lexica. I think personally making them all black and white takes so much away from how they would have looked had they been printed in color. Also it might be my eyes but I think a couple are out of focus just a bit. And lastly I would love to know the location of each tree.

Cool pictures. I like them in black and white as it adds a bit of mystery. Though I would like to see them in colour too.
My guess is the reason they aren't identified by location is because some people tend to be Assholes and can't find it in themselves to not be entitled jerks.
