Have you done this? Does it hurt the machine? Dull your blade? Does it even work?

I've done it but I have the deep cut blade. Maybe try using mutli-cut.

I cut glitter paper with my Cricut all the time. I do use the deep cut blade, and have not had a problem with the glitter paper dulling the blade.

There are a bunch of different kinds of glitter paper and they’re not all created equal. I’ve cut the Doodlebug glitter paper and it trashed not only my blade but the mat too. Some of the more coated types that have the glitter sealed in better don’t fare too much better because the coating chips at the cut edge so it doesn’t look very nice. There was one brand I bought that was thinner and has more of a fine glitter appearance but the glitter doesn’t come off at all. It might have been DCWV? It came in a pad with about 20 sheets or so, wasn’t white core and it cut the best.

I keep a blade just for cutting glitter. After you cut glitter paper, you will probably never get good cuts on anything else with that particular blade.

It works better too if you flip the paper and cut glitter side down. You have to then also flip your design.

The one time I tried it, it ruined my mat.

I cut DCWV glitter paper on my Cricut all of the time. I think it is called Glitzy Glitter paper. It cuts well, and the glitter does not come off all over the place.
