I have a friend who's email must have a virus. Almost every day, I get an email from her with a generic subject ("you might like this!" or something) and there is always a link in the body of the email and that's it (I have a preview pane on). I never click on the link, and always delete them, but today someone told me MY email sent out something similar . I immediately changed my password and my virus scans are up to date. Anything else I need to do? Besides tell my friend to change her password too?

I get them too, but they have just taken my friend's name and don't use her real address. You can see the address by hovering over what it says the address is. Then if it isn't hers, have it sent to spam. I don't think she has been hacked, they are just using her name.

My husband gets those all the time from “me”. But if you check the email address it’s different from my real one. He’s got them trained to go directly to the spam folder.
