I'm definitely doing this. Ancestry cannot read my DNA. I'm on my 5th fucking DNA test including one that was a sample of skin cells and one with blood.

I'm intrigued by the fact you've done 5 DNA tests and none have worked. What happened? I've done my DNA including medical, but always wanted my father's info too. He agreed to do it when I visited in October so I'm pretty psyched.

I've done them at the same time as another person. I've called and gotten advice from them. My doctor thinks I don't shed skin cells normally so on advice I scraped the inside of my cheek along with the saliva. I followed the advice to add a couple of drops of blood. Nothing. They can't process it and get a readable result. It's possible I'm a nonsecretor but the skin cells or blood should have given enough nonsecretory DNA to be readable. I've even worked through suggestions from a group called DNA Detectives, which are primarily adoptees but very well versed on DNA testing My husband thinks I'm alien. I'm actually fairly upset by it (although it's becoming comical at this point). My DDs test came back but I don't have other family members on which to build from.

Does anyone know how this test compares with the one through Ancestry.com?
I just did the Ancestry test, and was surprised by the results. (Nothing like the documentation I have through my Family tree). Is it worth doing this one also?
