Do you put up lights? What kind?
Last year we had barely moved. I put up a couple of strings of the snowflakes under our front window. This year I would like to add, but I can't decide what. I like all Christmas lights. I was thinking either white or blue icicle lights, but am up for ideas.
What kind of lights do you have?

White icicle lights along the roof line. Red twinkle net lights on the bushes. Light up candy canes line the walk way and the driveway. Set of light up polar bears near the front door. A lighted penguin and two presents in the flower bed. And a huge lighted wreath hanging on the stone wall beside the front door.

We actually put our lights up this past weekend. We won't turn them on until the night after Thanksgiving, but we have snow in the forecast starting Friday and it looks to be on and off for at least the next 2 weeks and we decided freezing out butts off putting up lights was not something we wanted to do this year. We do the larger soft white (not the blue/white) LED lights across the front of the house and small white lights on the pillars on the porch. I do not like the newer colored LED lights. The colors seem off to me. I'm just old I guess. Lol

It’s also too primary looking since they took out the pink and purple lights.

I already bought my indoor lights at Target two weeks ago, because if I try to find the exact ones I want any later, they won't have them. I string white lights on white wires up around my downstairs windows in our L-shaped dining room/family room.

They’re not as soft and don’t come in the same colors as the incandescent type. Even some of the white ones look harsh and wrong, ask me how I found that one out the hard way and had to buy all new lights the next year! We have a long string of the medium sized soft white LED lights across the front of our house, two of the original Star Shower things aimed at the trees, two of last year’s motion Star Shower things from last year and we just got two of the new Star Shower light show projector things that shoot snowflakes and Santas on your house. We also have two little lighted trees that I like to put on either side of the front door, but I haven’t been putting them out because they need more weight on the bases to keep them from constantly blowing over in the wind. We only leave the Christmasy ones on until New Year’s Day, the white ones on the house we leave on all winter. ETA: I forgot that I have some of the older style colored lights strung around the inside of the front windows that I can turn on with a wall switch. Those get turned on and off when I think of it.

Large colored bulbs. Those are dh's favorites and since he does all the work to install them, he gets to pick. I personally like smaller white lights, but not enough to do the work. :-)

We found out the hard way too with those LED lights. We've tried to give them away to neighbors and friends and no one will take them. They are in my trunk to go to be donated this week sometime. I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of the new lights.

I don't mind the LED lights especially on the trees.. they seem to really shine in the dark. But it could be that I can't see squat anymore...lol
I don't have any LED lights (I don't think).. I have one small string of the lights that have big snowflakes on them.. I think 6 of them, I put on my small front porch... I also have a big wire Christmas tree that hangs on the house.. but again on the porch. DH doesn't do heights so no lights really on the house. Bummer. But I think that is all the lights I put out front. I get a tad annoyed since I am the only one that puts any effort into it so by the time I get all decorated I am pooped (and a bit annoyed)

I'd like to put a few up, but we have a tri level house and at the highest point, I need to use a 20 foot ladder. I'm thinking of putting a small strand across my front porch area. I need one of those Grinch cut outs, where it shows him "stealing" the lights. We have icicle lights.
